After reading this issue, I think Ed Brubaker may be the next Chuck Dixon.

WOW.

Not a single shot of Batman, but...this is what Batman IS.

Yep, awesome issue. But I hope Brubaker doesn't become the next Dixon - I hate Dixon's stuff!

If I'm not mistaken Dixon used to be very good, but he must went crazy cuz he sucks now.

I just figured Dixon was good, because a lot of people I've talked to like his work. Robin is good, although the writing for Nightwing is eh. But, whatever

Well maybe not in his last year, but as soon as Dixon, stepped in, (and if you were a reader right before then), the whole Batman world came together. Im sure everything from this point on for a couple of years, will be from what Dixon has built up to.

The only thing he probably did'nt do so well is the mystical side to Batman, dealing with more supernatural issues. Other than that he knew how to keep Batman real and believable, and I without a doubt know that his presence rasied Batman's comic book status from the time he started the job.

I liked this Issue. Am i guessing right that Bruce want's to escape, and that Alfred is going to help him?

i think so, because by the time the next batman comes out, thats the start of the fugitive storyline

THis was a great issue!! THe story was definitely the best so far of the Murderer/Fugitive storyline. I loved how it showed Bruce's darkside, the real Bruce.

I can see Brubaker and Rucka having a run like Dixon and Moench did.

Hmm...how do you pronounce Brubaker?
<Brew-Bake-UR>
<Br-UH-Back-UR>

It's BREW-BAKE-ER.

And man, this was one of his defining issues! Just a really well-done story after the nightmare that was Santa Klaus. Bruce is going crazy and I LOVE it! Can't wait 'til Alfred brings him the Bat-suit ('cause let's be honest, of COURSE that's what he told Alfred to get him).
