various reasons..one, I believe, being that CN isn't as strict with their programming. the crew of JL has even said they've been able to get away with ALOT more than they could with KWB (IE: on-screen deaths). You can watch the "Secret Origins" and you can already see Kids WB wouldn't allow that on their channel..

More facts: Kids'WB! wasn't interested in doing a show where every character was adults, or over twenty. Kids'WB! enacted a new policy where all, or most, of the characters should be children, so viewers can relate. Or have adult stars with child connections (Jackie Chan has Jade). Justice League has none of that, thankfully. Another thing is the violence quota, which Timm told early on would be intense and not easy for the little kids (Kids'WB's 4 - 7 market). With all that in mind, Kids'WB! passed, but Cartoon Network was promptly interested, as they are currently stretching the palette on their network to include more than just kids' show, but animated adult programming (that sounds so dirty).
Although Kids'WB! did approach Timm with doing a KWB-style Justice Leagyue, which would have had Batman leading a bunch of teenage superheroes in training.
I'm glad JL is on CN.

I'm glad JL is on CN. that would suck ten million times more than what some people are complaining about JL.

Aren't WB and Cartoon Network now both owned by AOL/Time Warner anyway?

Yes, but run by different fractions. That's why you usually see cross promoting on all the AOL/TW channels (TBS, CNN, TNT, WB, CN, B!,). But each channel is run by a different person and has a different mentality towards advertising, show content, etc...

WB's pet is Pokemon, they know the fans that like the good shows have a clue but there is always some child out there ripe for the Pokemon corrupting. :D

That's the same thing they said when they moved from Fox to KidSWB. Batman was much more violent on KWB than it ever was on Fox -- Showing batgirl fall onto a car and die, showing a man put to death in the gas chamber (Superman), all of the fight scenes etc on both Batman and Superman. I don't know when they got to be so PC on KWB.

Can you imagine that scene where Faust dissolves into a skeleton and blows away as dust- on the WB?
(And it was so cool looking, too....)

That cross-promotion thing (as far as CN-KWB goes) seems like a one-way street to me. I have both networks, yet I still have not seen any mention of any CN shows on KWB outside of Samurai Jack and maybe the PowerPuff Girls, while KWB bombarded CN with Pokemon, Jackie Chan's Adventures, X-Men:Evolution, and whatever else they have. They're also using Toonami, and not even giving credit to the original version on CN!
It's a one-way street all right, and it's filled with BS.

They got PC when the politicos on Capitol Hill started putting the heat on Hollywood for packaging violent content for children.Damn politicians!

Actually, I think it was when they hired a Nickelodeon programming exec. to be their president.

Yep. Her name is Donna Friedman. She was hired two or so years ago, IIRC.

There can be only one, :D.
I can sum it up thusly: WB isn't airing Justice League because they're losers. Let them air their dubbed, money-saving anime and stupid kid-oriented movie tie-ins. I look forward to seeing them crash and burn.

Ah yes, Donna Friedman, the gal who famously said that she doesn't "get" animated dramas. There's your definative answer right there.
