Gee, I wonder if there was ever an R-rated Batman cartooon/movie?

To my knowledge they've all be PG-13 at the most. Although, there is a rumored rough cut of Batman Returns that is indeed "R", and is being sought after by fans to be included in the rumored Batman Returns: Special Edition that WB claims they might do, given the participation of Tim Burton.

You know, on a board like this, you should really offer a little more in your thread title than just Batman. 90% of this board is about that guy.

I don't think there should be a rated R Batman. I loved superheroes as a kid (and never quite grew out of it) but today's kids should be able to enjoy Batman too.

That's actually tough- I like Batman to be really dark- but it shouldn't be for adults only. I think PG-13 is about right.

Agreed, PG-13 is the ideal mark. Having Batman in an R movie is alienated alot of his audience. Besides, I don't think any company would do that in their right mind anyways.

I agree, but there is a more sinester side to me that would love to see a fully animated Dark Knight Returns. And I don't think anyone would deny that Batman is definately a darker character that could lend himself towards a more mature oriented medium. If any of you have seen spawn or even aeon flux, a more sexual, violent batman would definately be different (though, not necessarily better). Don't get me wrong, I'm not some idiot that screams for violence when it's not needed, but sometimes, I definately feel in the mood to watch something more potent. Though, the animated series certainly had it's pg 13 moments.

"Wanna try my pie, Puddin?"

Yeah, that was nice. I'm surprised that that one got by the censors.

Remember reading that line in Batman Animated that Alan Burnett really wanted? The one about Penguin picking up the soap? :D

Ja, and "Wanna rev up your Harley?" or "Wanna ride your Harley?" or something like that. Lot of stuff with Quinn and the Joker. And that scene in the Roxy Rocket episode.

Dumb question here, but what does "picking up the soap" mean?

Uhhh....<remember, gotta be PG, gotta be PG...> It's not the action itself, rather, it is the...opportunities presented by it.

Please don't ban me, mods.

I'm never having kids, one of the reasons being this type of question...

If you want more information, ask one of your friends at school; they probably know more information on that kind of thing than both your parents put together.

Aw, darn, this really awkward.

It's kinda a prison refrence. In prison they all take a shower in one big room. If someone drops the soap, they have to bend over to pick it up...

Go see the Shawshank Redemption. You'll figure it out. ;)
