View Full Version : So, I want to be Captain N (Yes, The Game Master)

The belt is easy enough (basically a NES pad), and I can easily take the cord out of an orange Zapper (finding one is hard enough).

Yellow T-Shirt? Check.
Pale blue jeans? Check.
Sneakers? Check.

Letterman jacket? Um...

Here's my problem. I see various enough websites that custom make jackets. And hell, I probably WOULD wear the "N" jacket enough to justify cost.

BUT... two questions.

Did it say anything on the back? I'm not thinking so, but...

AND...

Have you ever seen someone having pulled it off at a con or something?

No I don't believe anything was on the back.

You have to remember to cut your hair in that dorky 1980s way to complete the look, too.

Should be a neat costume, relatively easy to make. I've seen pictures of guys who went as Captain N and it looked okay, although sometimes the impact is lessened if they don't look anything like the dork physically. It's not Haloween, so what do do you want the costume for?

See, here's one that doesn't work. He doesn't look like Captain N so he just seems like maybe a member of the "Captain N Squad" or something.

So is Captain S on screwattack.com like a spoof from Captain N?

Im going to assume so, seeing how it seems like i answered my own question.

Im not sure how the internals are for the NES Gun, but you wanna unscrew the gun and take everything out instead of ripping the chord out. My Namco Gun i use for Time Crisis there like 3 main parts inside but i just wanted to take the chord out only, but it cant disconnect from the chip so i just left it alone.

The costume wasn't much though, since they had only the first game to go on (and second?--was she established as a woman in the first one?)

Yes, the instruction manual refered to Samus as "he", and then when you beat the game she took off her costume and revealed herself as a woman.


And they played her more as a greedy bounty hunter than a mission-focused bounty hunter


I personally prefered the greedy Samus to the heroic Samus. It gives her more of a personality. Besides, she is a bounty hunter, she shouldn't just go on missions to save the day and stuff. She should at least be somewhat concerned about money.
