Yeah, comic book GL is way too poweful these days. Listen to a GL fan, and they'll insist that he can pretty much do whatever he wants. So in this fight he would just will :rolleyes: himself a Superman shredder and float away all green and victorius.

That ring's gotta run outta juice sometime. Then Superman pokes out from his hiding place behind the moon or something and all he needs is one quick shot to GL's eyes with his heat vision to blind him for life. Hahahahahaha!

Here's an interesting question: could GL make kryptonite with his ring? If he could then he could definitely beat Superman.

oh yeah what if superman held a prism up to his heat vision and used it to turn the color of his heat vision from red to yellow

i personally like what supes did to manchester black-- gave him a lobotomy with his heat vision

Kyle Rayner the comic book GL's ring didnt have a yellow weakness. So I dont see how much good that would do him.

I don't think that John Stewart in JL has a weakness toward yellow either. At least it hasn't been shown yet.

Man, it bugs me when they beef up the powers too much....what kind of thing could challenge Kyle now? The way it is currently, not only could he beat Supes, but while he was doing it he'd also be stopping bankrobbers in New York, dealing with an earthquake in New Delhi, playing pool with the Flash and picking his nose and reading a comic book back in bed at his apartment.

Back when Kyle first became Green Lantern, one of the answers in the letters pages stated that he had to know the exact composition of Kryptonite in order to create it. If that's been changed, then he needs a better writer. I figure if push came to shove, Superman could sever his ring finger, knock Kyle unconscious, and get someone to quickly stitch it back on.
