I have a hard time believing that the same company that does such a great job with Star Wars could screw up their Batman and Superman animated lines! Their belief that villains and women figures won't sell is a load of bull. Come on, would Star Wars have succeeded if all they made were variants of Luke, Han, and the occasional Darth Vader?
Hasbro disgusts me. They better not screw up the Justice League line (assuming that they have the rights).

hey you'll get no arguments from me...hasbro does do some good looking sculpts. they have the ability to make awesome figures, but the reason i hate them is because of they're approach with batman..they give star wars alot more variety because of not only the young collectors,, but the huge amount of older fanatics who demand everything out of the film that they can get...it's not a tv series..just a film..so they just keep taking every possible thing and being out of it to keep feeding to the hungry fanbase....as far as hasbro is concerned, no person over the age of 12 is into batman  ..it's just for the kids and the kids only want more of batman and robin..that's hasbro's only logic when marketing this line...so, that's all we're going to have to settle for...if there's any one series that had such great potential for hundreds of new and imaginative action figures, it's batman:the animated series...but in this lifetime, your never going to convince hasbro that us mature collectors are out here breathing...

You're right and Kenner/Hasbro has already graced us with almost 300 versions of Batman. :D

I know the Batman line is bad, but take a look at the Star Wars figures for the next movie, we'll be in the same boat, we'll get detailed stuff sure, but at least Batman figures have neutral poses (more or less) therefore allowing for all their articulation to be effective but the SW figures for the next movie will be pre-posed so badly that alot of the articulation points we'll be useless. Right now SW figures are scene-specific and like little statues with a little amount of articulation, Hasbro considers them "collector's items," while at least the Batman figures are meant to be played with. :D

still the star wars line has all the characters. They just recently released Lois Lane, Gordon, and Alfred but for a long time they were missing. They have never made a TNBA batgirl or a decent Superman, Lex Luthor. We never saw most STAS characters. I really want a Toyman, or Parasite figure.

Well I think it's mostly the fame of the Batman series/movies, the last 2 movies were pretty bad if you compare them to the first 2, and the series, well, since Batman Beyond practically had 0 female action on the good guy side and WB treated the series pretty badly I don't think there would've been quite enough interest for stuff like that, still though, I do understand the situation. I know alot of people who buy Batman would rather get figures where you can use imagination for recreating scenes with all the key characters instead of getting just Batman figures and having to use your imagination to making neon Batman worth looking at. Overall the key thing is that Hasbro is a really bad toy company, they're ruining not only the Batman and Star Wars line but now they're even doing their best to ruin their GI Joe line, nice huh?
Hasbro did some good items. Just think of the awful Batman-Movie line by Toybiz, the items Hasbro made for this movie were awesome. Batman Returns and BTAS were also great lines. Even the Batman repaints of these lines were great
The only problem now is that TNBA started suck badly, too many Batman repaints and only a few villains, yet they did not even manage to make a Batplane or Batboat. :(
