Please dont let it be Sandra Bullock.

~

My Vote - Angalina Jolie.

Shes young ... incredibly attractive,
can have a royal otherworldly beauty
when she wants too.

She can fill out the costume nicely -
and those legs aint to shabby.

What do you think?

Personally, I think Angelina Jolie would make an interesting Circe or maybe that should go to Catherine Zeta Jones.

Lucy Lawless. My friend use to watch Xena, and likes how she has some of the same qualities as Diana. Appearance wise, their both tall amazon warrior princesses who fight in combat. Angelina Jolie would be a last resort if Lucy dosen't get the part. I liked her in Tomb Raider, but she would need some work. I agree with you on Sandra Bullock. She's all wrong for the part. Plus she want the costume changed if she dose get it. So i say Lucy Lawless.

Lucy Lawless would be better than Sandra Bullock ... but i dont think shed be as good as Angelina.

A) Lucy Lawless is a little old at this point

B) Angelinas younger - i.e. sequels

C) Angelina is softer and more of a foreign beauty.
Remember - she doesnt have to be muscular , diana's looks
bely her great physical strength.

D) Shed look better in the suit.

Sandra Bullock has been my choice for a while, because she can actually kind of act. If Catherine Zeta-Jones could act, I'd want to see her as WW.

Angelina Jolie? No. God no.

I'd shoot myself if Mariah Carey was cast, and Lucy Lawless is just so...Golden Age Wonder Woman-like. Lawless would make a good Amazon, but not Wonder Woman. Maybe Artemis?

Angelina Jolie is great, but she's already Lara Croft. The characters are too similar. If she plays too many action stars, it will come to the point where all her characters the same, kinda like Pierce Brosnan.

My suggestion is Famke Janssen.

Lucy Lawless: She's already said that she won't do it.

Sandra Bullock: Could probably handle it physically but for the rest of it, no I don't think so.

Denise Richards: After seeing her in that last Bond movie, I can't take her seriously anymore. Besides, she looks more like that Fathom character from Image...

Famke Janssen: I don't think she was that great as Jean Grey, what makes you think she'd be any better as Diana? Besides, I'm sure Marvel wouldn't like it if she were to play DC's premier heroine.

Angelina Jolie: No way. She's too masculine to be Diana...and I don't see Jolie having any kind of "soft side" like Diana does. The only thing she could have going for her is probably physical height and build.

If you have to go with a "big name", pick someone who hasn't already donned a comic book/super hero outfit...

My view though... Forget all these "big name" women in Hollywood. No one will be happy with whom ever is chosen, so I say we skip it all together and cast an unknown...or someone from the Indy (independent) set of films.

Unknown actress, definitely. A tall, raven-haired, strong Mediterranean woman who can carry off wearing the bustier without bulging out of it. :)

Sorry, guys, Diana is not a MAXIM model. If you want breasts, buy an adult magazine. Just make sure Diana is beautiful.

Who would you want the villain in the Wonder Woman movie to be and who would you want to play her?

Personally, I'd like to see a conflict with Circe, perhaps she could drive the Amazons into a conflict with Man's World and force them to choose an ambassador. But who could play Circe? I'd like to see either Jolene Blalock, Jean Marsh, Teri Hatcher, or Linda Carter. I believe each actress would have a different take on the role.

My gut tells me it would probably be a mistake to have the villan be a female villan.

(though id bet the studios will opt for that - plus most of Wonder Womans rogues gallery seem to be women).

I just think that having Wonder Woman fight a female villan
places to much emphasis on her gender as a hero.
Like - shes a female superhero so she has to fight a female supervillan.

Give her a strong male villan and make the issue a moot point.

Wonder Womans a superhero , that happens to be a woman ..
not a female hero who fights other women villans because superman wont hit girls.

Angelina Jolie would be awesome, but not as Wonder Woman. She would need to be someone who isn't as "wholesome." She needs to play someone who plays kinda dirty. What about Jolie as Hawkgirl?

I think Jolie would be kickass as WW.

She can play otherworldly and beautifull ...(Lara Croft)-
and who else would look better in that outfit?

Yeah, that'd be my choice. It would have to an unknown actress. None of the others mentioned could come close to bringin Wonder Woman to life. Yeah, Jolie looks good, but it's not just the body. Whoever plays the role needs to look like WW facially as well.

Me, personally i would like to see Lucy Lawless change her mind and do it.

She is tall (5 ft 10 or 11), attractive (she got that Foreign European look, and can be physical (Just watch Xena)

Plus she played a character called Princess Diana in a episode called Warrior, Princess.

But I can see why she won't, she wants to spend time with her three kids. (Daisy, Julius and one coming in April).

As long as it is NOT CHYNA! (Yes, she is rumored for the part too)

I'll protest the movie if she gets the part.

[indent]I don't have any problems with Sandra Bullock, in fact I think she is a great choice. She may not have won any acting awards or anything, but she has not really had any bad roles either. She has close to the right look and I don't see any reason why she couldn't handle the Wonder Woman character. Sure, she may not have done many action movies where she had to do any fighting, but The Matrix proves you don't need prior experience to do those roles.

I saw a preview last night for a new movie called Murder by Numbers starring Sandra. Her character is a homicide detective...and if she can pull that off, then I'd be okay with her in the role if they couldn't find someone else (no-name) to play the role.

And that Monica...I forget her last name...is incredibly beautiful (she was great in Brotherhood of the Wolf) but she's a bit too old to play Diana (she should be in her early to mid-20's at the latest). She'd be a great Hippolyte in my opinion, or even a more mature KC Diana.

Three words:

Catherine Zeta-Jones

CZJ of 5 years ago in the looks department maybe...but even she isn't as "young looking" as she used to be.

Diana is going to be hard to cast correctly. In current continuity, she's just now getting close to being 30. The same can't be said of Bats and Supes (they're both 30+).

And if they go with the "fresh from Paradise Island" thing then they should (I think) find someone who looks like she's in her early 20's and can act.

That, my friends, is going to be hard to do.

Believe me, I saw her recently and Catherine Zeta-Jones is still breathtaking. You put her against Angelina Jolie as Cheetah and you got $80 million in box office right there

I think it was stated before on Access Hollwood that Sandra Bullock was going to be cast as Wonder Woman.

Howabout Talisa Soto?
She was in one of the Dalton 007 flicks, as well as Katana in Mortal Kombat.
Is she past her prime as an action actress?
I had always enviosned her as playing either Catwoman or Talia.

Someone suggested Jennifer Connelly. She's a 10 but that role is way out of her field. In superhero-sci fi movies, she's usually the damsel: the Rocketeer, Dark City...

And not a serious suggestion but has anyone seen Joan Severence as the Black Scorpion? It's not the best but it's mildly amusing.

When it comes to casting these roles: WW, Batman, Supes, etc...I'd prefer they go w/ an unknown.

Wizard magazine recently cast the Wonder Woman movie in their Casting Call feature. They chose:

Wonder Woman- Jennifer Connely

Hippolyta- Catherine Zeta-Jones

Donna Troy- Eliza Dushku

Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark)- Elisha Cuthbert

Circe- Andrea Parker

Fury- Portia De Rossi

Artemis- Laura Prepon

Silver Swan- Denise Richards

Cheetah (latin male version)- Antonio Banderas

I think C. Z-J is a good choice for Hippolyta, but whoever they'd find to play Diana had better look better than her mother! I personally think Lucy Lawless is waaaaaaaay to fierce to ever play Diana. Jenny Connelly is a wonderful actress, but I wonder if she's fierce enough .

I don't see why they're having so much trouble with the script for a WW film. Just condense the first few issues of George Perez's awesome run on the re-launched comic series and there you go! You've got the Gods, the Amazons on Themyscira, Diana, Ares, Man's World, Steve Trevor and there you go! If anything, I'd think that a sequel would be harder to make in a WW franchise. Who to choose: Cheetah or Circe? Or both? Silver Swan is just too Sailor Moon for me, so I couldn't see her on screen. In all fairness, I can only picture 2 or 3 WW films in a franchise. There's a limit to what I think the audience would enjoy, even though I adore Diana.

Well my pick for Wonder Woman would have to be Shannon Elizabeth. I think if she was given the chance to shine she could pull it off - she's also got the figure and is still very young. Sandra Bullock would also be a good choice if Shannon was to busy.

Easily one of the hottest women on the planet - give her a costume like she donned in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and I don't think the casting of Wonder Woman even matters anymore. :p

Does Linda Carter have a daughter? :D

Seriously, I think the best choice would be to cast someone new. Actually one of my friends would be perfect, but we all know they'll cast some well known "star" and give her a piece meal script.

I'd prefer if they just did a WW:TAS using the JL WW.

...would have to be beautiful, yes, but she should also have a look of intelligence, an air of royal diplomacy, a high level of inner strength, a sense of peace (but be willing to fight as a last resort), a warm heart, and a Greek accent.

Only one actress I know can fit this description: Marina Sirtis.

I think she's an awesome actress and I love Counsellor Troi, but I think she's a little too old to play Wonder Woman anymore. Maybe she could be Hippolyta if they weren't really playing up that immortal angle. I mean if people think Lucy Lawless is to old..........

Natalie Portman or maybe Christina Ricci.Lucy is too muscleuar and Catherine-Zeta.........I dunno but I just don't know! How about someone who would have to dye their hair? Like Helen Hunt? Or maybe Peri Gilpin. We saw her as Diana on Frasier so.......
