The Road to WrestleMania's biggest stop after the Royal Rumble comes your way tonight on pay-per-view! Live from the Staples Center will see three Championships on the line including the ECW Word Title. The rest of the SmackDown! Champions will see action with the WWE brands' main events for WrestleMania facing off in the main event. Boo! Helms is no longer CW champ.

So they pulled the ladder match because they didn't want to push MNM'Hardyz as teams anymore, then they 180 AGAIN and put them back on in a pointless six-man tag?? Who's running the show? Is Vince too distracted by Donald Trump?

There has been nothing extraordinary about this PPV at all. It feels like a regular episode of Smackdown.

I'm calling it right now. Helms will be US Champ by September. And if their previous Smackdown matches are any indication, his feud with Benoit will rock.

Looks like we'll get Rey and Chavo feuding over the Cruiser title. For the eight billionth time.

ECW title match ends in DQ. Typical.

This is easily turning into the worst PPV of the year. So much horrible booking.

Also, there should be a rule that a PPV match can't end in a DQ. It cheapens the event.

What a strange, ill-concieved PPV.

You got Gregory Helms, the cruiserweight champ for over a year losing in a pointless match. Another Cruiserweight rush-job. At least TNA gives the X-Divisoners things to do with the PCS.

Another awful ECW match/result. A DQ. How extreme.:shrug:

Ashley ripped off Sable. And no one cared at all. I wonder if this will be the lowest-selling wwe playboy.

And then the main event. Good to see Cena get booed. And it looks like they will have Batista as a heel after all. Makes sense since no one was going to cheer him at Mania. I would not turn Michaels/Cena. Keep them as faces. I'm sure after their match, they'll do the handshake/good sportsmanship bit.

I saw part of the Lashley match (but with no sound). I would guess that people booed during the match because there wasn't enough excitement. Too many rest holds and Lashley getting kicked in the legs for 5 minutes. Yeah, I know it's ring pyschology by Kennedy, but that makes for a boring match to me.

Also, I read that it being an L.A. crowd is also to blame since they sit on their hands for the most part.

But championship matches, or even matches with the champions in them at a ppv, should never end in a DQ. Especially not an ECW match. I've said it before, it wouldn't take much for people to cheer Lashley, but they have to stop mucking up the entire concept of what ECW is. People can see right through the plan of him going berserk on Kennedy at the end.

I also read that Cole lost his voice halfway through the event. What, no one could get him a lougenze? A cough drop? Something!

Having that previously planned 4 way ladder match for the tag titles would have added life to the ppv it sounds like :(

Finlay/Li'l Bastard vs. Boogeyman/Li'l Boogeyman = Match of the Night.

I think it's more that either they don't want to burn us out on Ladder matches since they'd probably have another MitBLM in a month and/or Mercury just got his nose fixed and wouldn't want it broke again. That stuff on the internet is just speculation and third-hand information after all. Take it with a tablespoon of salt when you read it.

Greg Helms lost his title. He's probably going to be bumped up into the US Title picture, so that's great. Yang-Noble was pretty good too. I'd have loved to see a match between those two for the Cruiserweight Title at 'Mania, but no, Chavo had to ruin everything. Yang-Chavo was good too, though, but I'm sure Chavo's going to drop the belt when Rey gets back :(

Overall, this felt like an above-average episode of SmackDown, which is pretty good considering an average SD is awesome.

I really thought they were going to build up Helms/Davari more.

Seeing as how PPV audiences are somehow different from TV audiences I can see Batista slowly turning heel by WrestleMania. If that's the case, I won't have to worry about him ending Taker's streak.

I'm starting to notice that the SmackDown! brand PPVs are starting to mix up RAW and ECW stars to help them build a PPV card. With the low number of superstars SmackDown's got, no wonder.

I guess John Cena wasn't enough.

Lots of stupid booking tonight.

The cruiserweight open was decent, but Helms losing was basically a non-issue (Which, in a way is actually kind of cool. Everything doesn't have to be a huge spectacle all the time) and if Yang had won it'd have been great. Chavo showing up is a waste. I don't wanna see Rey/Chavo 1,634,293 and the CW belt kind of seems beneath either of them at this point and would do far more for Yang.

I finally saw the Lashley vignette tonight. If he was still on Smackdown it'd have been good. But its so misplaced in ECW, even this ECW. They're kind of using Lashley how they used Rhino in the dying days of the real ECW. They're both way too green to be where they are, but they really don't have any other option. But at least Rhino could scream the F-word at people, piledrive them through tables, and be believably violent. Lashley's postmatch beatdown on Kennedy was a farce. All that's needed to be said has been about an ECW title match ending in DQ.

A meh event, but as with anything Smackdown-related, worth watching for JBL.

Those vignettes they are doing for Lashley....there's no way the original ECW would have done anything like that. I mean could you imagine some of the ECW wrestlers they had doing what Lashley is doing in those vignettes?
