Computer Generated Boop?

I don't like the sound of this, but I'd give it a shot, but I have yet to see any modern cartoon featuring a classic character that really works, so I don't have high hopes.

I recall a press release from 1998 promoting plans for a new Boop television series in production called Betty Boop's Misguided Tours which was supposed to have Betty as a tour guide on a bus that travels to various places around the world. It went on to say how hip and edgy the series was going to be, and it was being pitched to channels like MTV and HBO. Haven't heard anything about it since. Guess they pulled the plug on that project... maybe we'll get lucky and we won't have to see any CGI Betty Boop anytime soon.

Max Fleischer would be turing over in his grave over this news story, uugghh.

Also, isn't Max's son Richard Fleischer doing something to release the enitire Max Fleischer film library on video dvd? I heard this a couple of years ago.
Does anyone know anything about this?
