Well, the topic's sorta self explanatory. Is there anyone besides me, my friend Mela (don't remember her username here), and possibly Burgundy Ranger that's actually watching the show? It's really pretty good if you ignore the love triangle that got wedged in there, and it's even getting new episodes in about a week.
Frankly I'd like to smack TD's marketing department for not even bothering to make up any promos for Xyber 9 . . . they're so fricking focused on their precious blue and pink bunnies that anything else falls to the wayside.

Not watching. Forgot to catch it at its beginning and, once I do that, I don't jump in in the middle.

I've been watching this show, and I like it.:) I find the sci-fi storyline very enjoyable. It kinda reminds me of Kevin Sorbo's Andromeda show.:D
I thought the Trio ep was pretty good. It seems the jungle girl, Anaconda, and the Princess will never stop arguing! Especially, over Jack!:p :D

I didn't even know it was on. Everytime I here the title, I think about Cyber 6, which was a weird series that was on FoxKids years ago.

Always thought it was an interesting show concept. Only watched it like once on Fox kids though. Maybe I should give it a try again.

It's going to take until at least April for it to cycle around again, I think. Depends on how many episodes there actually were and I don't know the exact number yet.
I caught little bits and pieces of it. Seems rather forgettable...

Hey, me too! Wasn't that the show about the robotic woman that fought against her creator or something? Memory fails me.

I don't think she was robotic, just enhanced. And she was a crossdresser.

Cybersix was an highly advanced 'Cyber' serie model...she even aged but she wasn't 'human'. She needed the green 'sustenance' found in her creator's creation to survive. She did crossdress to hide her identity. It's part of her backstory...she took Adrian's identity after finding him dead in a car accident after she escaped from Von Richter. Cybersix was awesome... Xyber9 never left any impression on me.
I remember 'The Magician' more than I do Xyber9 :p

Unless they combined episodes, then the series is 22 episodes long.

Crap, didn't even realize they were running this. I had only seen about two or three episodes back when it was running on Fox Kids, but I loved what I saw. Right up there with The Magician, Cyber 6, Calamity Jane, The Avengers (yes, you heard me), and Silver Surfer as my favorite cartoons cancelled before their time.

Here's a reminder that, beginning this weekend, Toon Disney is showing episodes that (according to the epguides list for Xyber 9) were never shown by Fox Kids.
According to the March schedules, they'll get to ep #20 before cycling back to #12.

Yeah, that's why I need to get a dvd recorder tonight, my VCR bit the dust when we moved. This laptop does have a burner, but the tv tuner thingie I bought to go with it isn't updated for Vista yet. I'm tempted to just install the thing anyway, though . . .

Actually, Cybersix and Xyber 9 were on at the same time, i.e. September - December, 1999. While I'm enjoying Xyber 9 (I've missed a few episodes, though), I wish TD had run Cybersix instead. It was a much more interesting series and the animation was much better. Near the end of its run, they were showing it at 8 am! It was much too dark for that time slot.
Who knows? Maybe TD will pick it up at some point. They did it for Xyber 9 and Shinzo, after all. I sure hope so. There are a few eps (3 I think) that were never aired.

Well, it's not so much picking it up as it is deciding to air it, since they have all of the old Saban library. I'm not sure if that one actually WAS Saban's, though, since sometimes they'd have other studios' stuff on there too.
But anyway, back to the topic. The latest eps of Xyber 9 were pretty good. Maybe not as much focus on the bad guys as I would've liked, but there was enough other fun stuff and revelations to sort of make up for it.

I'm another one that didn't know this thing was on until it was already well into its run. Crap. I remember liking Xyber 9 enough to buy all of the action figures (which I recently discovered I still have, complete with all their weapons even).
I figured that there were unaired episodes to the series by the way it just quietly disappered one day on FOX Kids...

Surprising they made toys. A lot of show today dissapear before getting toys. Heck did they even make Xiaolin Showdown toys?
Cybersix is a Canada-Japan co-production, it's not part of the Saban library.

I got an old VHS tape of the show :D

Yeah, probably shouldn't be bumping this, but I don't feel like making a new topic. Anyway, just a reminder that the show starts over tonight, although it's at 1 AM now. If you missed the first run, you can see it now.

Since the first run is over, I was considering starting a series talkback, but this thread'll do...
My on-screen guide still shows this at 10 pm...guess I'll find out...
I was very disappointed in the ending of the series. Very rushed and not very detailed. Those of you who saw it know what I mean. Wasted quite a bit of the characterizations developed during the show. I found a number of episodes quite good nevertheless.

*grabs remote* Yup, it's on right now. Heh, you think the ending was kinda lame too? Hrm, have we met over on tv.com? If not, you're still welcome to come over and post, we need more people on the Xyber 9 board.
