Favorite cake and "Cake" song... Silly, huh?

Since it's humanly impossible to dislike Cake, lets all post our favorite cake and Cake songs (songs by the band "Cake.")

Any flavor of sponge cake is alright by me. Yellow cake with chocolate frosting or chocolate cake with no frosting is good too.

My favorite Cake song is "Let Me Go." ~When she walks she swings her arms, insted of her hips. When she talks she moves her mouth, instead of her lips.~

I like chocolate. The more the better, so those triple chocolate fudge cakes for me! Other cakes I like are carrot cake, sock-it-to-me cake, pound cake, and plain chocolate cake or yellow cake. :D

As for the band Cake, I like:

I can't decide between a favorite. Cake's cool. They got a distinct style all their own. :)

My favorite cake? Probably a chocalate birthday cake. Heck, almost any kind of birthday cake. Only in small quantities though.

Favorite Cake song... I guess The Distance. Cake is one of those bands that I've always meant to get their cd's, but never have for whatever reason. Great band though.

Favorite cake would have to be something chocolate. Either Black Forest, German chocolate with chocolate whipped cream icing, or that tower of dark chocolate cake that you can get at Hard Rock Cafe (takes three people to finish that).

Favorite Cake songs would be 'I Will Survive', 'Distance', 'Sheep Go to Heaven', 'Never There', and 'Short Skirt, Long Jacket'.

I would then have to say a nice yellow-type cake. I don't like chocolate that much, and ya'll know that cheesecake is *out*. (And I *have* tried many different kinds! I *want* to like it; please believe me! ;) )

@@@@@@@hhhhhh, the only song I've heard of here is the one about the short skirt and the long jacket. If that's like the rest of their songs, then I'd most probably rule that down as a no-like. {shrugs}

I love Red Velvet and Angel food cakes... unfortunately, I've only heard one song by Cake, which is "Short Skirt, Long Jacket". It's not bad, though not an instant favorite.

I'm not a big cake fan, so on my birthday we get a Dairy Queen ice cream cake. It's basically just ice cream in the shape of a cake, but that fudge/cookie center, oooooooooo.

If that doesn't count, I'll go with yellow cake. But only a little bit. I absolutely can't stand the 1/2 cake, 1/2 ice cream cakes from Baskin Robbins, tho. Ick to infinity, trust me.

I really like "The Distance", and their remake of "I Will Survive", and a song that never got much airplay but was still great was "Rock n' Roll Lifestyle." Definately one of their greatest.

They also had a song, where in the video they were in an office building, by the elevators. I can't remember the song, and saw the video twice. I really dug it, but can't for the life of me think of a name. :confused:

Cake's homepage...they have some songs (or clips of songs, I didn't really explore to throughly) on there under music...

They're rock with country flavor...but that's a poor description...give em a listen, and see if you like, it's fairly light fare (compared to the heavy metal of most "pop" bands)

As for the band Cake, I dig their song dedicated to the old-style Chevy Malibu... because it was my first car! Brown and shaped like a box it was, with bench seats with naugahyde. But I loved it dearly. I named it the Happy Heap. The end.
