When Lisa struggles to find excitement and intrigue in her family heritage for a school presentation, she decides to take creative license in crafting her heritage as a Native American, since its only for a school project. What begins as an innocent embellishment quickly turns into a web of lies when Lisa is chosen to represent the school, and her people, at City Hall, and then as a keynote speaker for the National Native American Tribal Council. As a reward for his heroic act, Bart is granted a drivers license, and in an attempt to escape endless family errands and chauffeuring he flees to a faraway town where he is romanced by an older teenage girl, Darcy (guest voice Natalie Portman) whose expectations may prove to be too much for Bart.

The Simpsons have a lot of similar episode titles.

Burns - You're not helping me.
Smithers - But sir, I'm flaming!!!

*Burns looks at the camera sarcastically*

Burns' facial expression was indeed very funny.

Hmm, a little soon for them to do yet another parody of their own intro, isn't it?

Pregant?! Damn, they're going all out.

Natalie Portman's version of "Whaaaa?" was pretty cute.

Ugh!

It was a very weird episode, i wasn't paying too much attention at the beggining so i was a little lost to how they got tot he situations but it was fun, i iked it.

Gee, who didn't see the ending of that Lisa plot coming from a mile away? That plot, particularly the ending of it, is an example of something that would've worked on Family Guy, but not here.

Oh wait... I guess Family Guy kinda did that already. It was pretty different though.

Meh. Really, really bizarre episode. The plot was all over the place. That said, several funny bits like Burns/Smithers and Homer's drunken phone calls got me every time.

I know it is by no means an original or even particularly clever joke, but I laughed out loud when Darcy said that the Norweigen exchange student who got her pregnant went "back to Norweigia."

I'm really a very simple creature.

Reminds me of an old joke from I think Salute Your Shorts. "We had Norwegian salmon. All the way from Norweg!"

Oh man I never laughed so hard at a facial expression up until now, that was great! And I thought this was one of the better episodes funny how Bart knows how to drive so well. Though the ending was a little rushed I was surprised how easily Darcy's parents took her pregnancy, it just felt not likely at all. Other than that a great episode. B+

My power went out about 10 minutes into the episode. I liked what I saw though. I missed both this AND the King of the Hill. That sucked big time

No, you're not alone.

As someone who loved the Bart episodes in which he was a human kid dealing with real human problems, I will never love his newer episodes. It's impossible for me. D-.

I haven't enjoyed many of the past Simpsons seasons however this season has actually been pretty decent with a few episodes that actually made me laugh.

As for this episode it was pretty good not the best of the Season but still pretty decent.

I can't believe I didn't recognize Natile Portman.

I thought there were some really funny jokes. Smithers flaming, Lisa getting shot at (it was funny because it happened so fast), and Bart's "I'm ten AND stupid".

I didn't think the resolution worked too well. They seemed to make light of a serious issue. A lot of the story worked because Bart was so naive about it, but that ending...ehh.

Oh, and how could I forget:

Homer: "You'll be a great father someday."
Bart: "Thanks. Someday, so will you."

Bart's fantasies about what the town would give him did remind me of some of the earlier eps where he has crazy fantasies when he gets some good luck.

One of the worst episodes ever man you can see how the simpsons are going downhill show by show predictable jokes, old plots please put this crap out of its misery.

I feel like they took subplots out of two old episodes then mashed them together into a new one and splashed some paint on it. There were a few funny moments, but by and large I had a strong feeling of deja vu through almost then entire episode. The resolution to Lisa's plot was so obvious that I predicted it as soon as I saw the episode synopsis. That's a bad sign.

However, I did love this exchange:

Utah Priest: "And how many women will you be marrying today?"
Bart: "Just the one."
U. Priest: "What are you, gay?"

I loved the parody of the opening sequence, especially with Bart driving OUT of the school. It's weird that they didn't use the actual theme song for it, though, or include a scene of Bart driving alongside Marge and Maggie, honking his horn along with them.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who noticed that. In fact if you took out Harry Potter I'm sure the joke would've been the exact same had they done it 12 or so years ago.

I have to say, I really enjoyed this ep. From someone who's been watching since the show started, this season hasn't been as disappointing as last season was.
