Yes, but I never have the money or time to play when I want to.

I like bowling, but I rarely get to play it anymore, and the last time I played was probably 1997 or so. I used to go to a bowling alley often back in the '80s. It was only a few minutes from our house, but they eventually tore it down, which resulted in us bowling more rarely due to the other places being further away.

I went bowling for the first time in years two nights ago. I really sucked at it. Back in high school we'd go to the bowling alley for gym class, my average then was 141. The two games I played last night didn't even break 100.
But I'm good at it on the Wii.

I suuuuuuuuuck at bowling! It is so not amusing. I often do the banana-slip-esque fall when I throw the ball. Plus, I get nauseous from the smell of the places and the rolling.
Bowling just makes me think of bruises and nasty smelling pizza.

The trick is to imagine yourself winning, Mz. Wagner! http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/1647/armstrongny4.gif (http://imageshack.us/)

I think what turns me off from it for the most part is the shoe-renting. I always forget to buy a pair and am usually forced to wear used. It's like sticking your feet into sewer water. Very distracting during game, that it is.

I'll expose my total and blithering incompetence at this "sport" by stating that I very well may be the only person who nearly broke his own ass "mid-roll" with a bowling ball.
That incident only reinforced the thought that bowling was simply not the hobby for me.

I haven't bowled in years but whenever I get the chance I always have a fun time, never make many points since I always get a gutter ball but I still love playing it.

I love bowling, but since I go with friends and/or family, I use bumpers.

I'm a big fan of bowling, though I don't get to go that often any more. I usually win, though, considering the people I tend to go bowling with aren't very athletic. We still have a lot of fun, though.

i thought bowling was a sport for the unathletic types, phw? ;)
i used to be an avid bowler. back when i was a teenager (13-16 actually), my average was around 170, but once i started college, i didn't go as often so my scores suffered. i've recently got back into it though and now i'm doing about 165 for an average. my high game is 234 and i was drunk out of my goard when i got it. lol
now if i could only figure out how to spin the ball without looking like an idiot...
