That was just solid. That's the best word I can think of to describe it. Everything was great from the choregraphy to the lyrics. Had me laughing from beginning to end, and even the touching ending worked beautifully and all the story arcs were continued. If Scrubs doesn't win an emmy for this episode then there is definitely something wrong.

I enjoyed it a LOT! The best episode so far. All the songs were great, but the best ones were Guy Love, Everything Comes Down To Poo, The Rant Song, and Gonna Miss You, Carla. I hope they release a CD of this!:) Only nitpick: it should have been longer!

I really really liked it. It didn't quite reach the level of Buffy's "Once More, With Feeling", but that's almost impossible (and this coming from someone who doesn't dig Buffy that much), and it did effortlessly achieve to totally live up to my expectations, and was even better the second time around. Loved the callbacks to My Best Friend's Wedding, My Day Off and the pilot. Favorite songs: "We're Gonna Miss You" (The Janitor's line had absolutely perfect timing), "Guy Love", Cox's rant, and the Medley ("When The Truth Comes Out"). By the way, considering the episode was full of NBC's "Grease" pop-up ads, does anyone else think the "Friends Forever" song was there because of the network? It didn't really bother me, but it's something I noticed.

Hmm, I noticed that, too. Maybe it's a coincidence, considering the filming of the ep was early of last year.

Maybe, and maybe not. I have a friend who is a diehard Scrubs fan and she was reading up on how the creator or whoever's in charge of the show had specific broadway shows in mind that he wanted to emulate. The opening was inspired by "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast and "When the Truth Comes Out" is in the style of the medleys found in Les Miserables. So it could be he wanted a Grease styled number in there as well.

It wasn't a great episode, but I did like the coffee cups with Elliot's quotes, the Republican make-out, and the Iraq War: For Dummies and J.D.'s ignorance to why he still had most of the book after the "Mission Accomplished" declaration.

Coming from a die-hard Scrubs fan I have to say that this episode was not very good. In fact this new season has been mixed with me. It's a rarity for me to see a bad Scrubs episode so it's not as painful to say that this was bad. But still, it wasn't very good.

I don't know, I love it ANY time Bob Kelso gets development and this was his chance to shine, but Bill Lawrence and whatever writer was in charge of the episode decided poorly to put Bob in the middle of an Iraq war debate themed episode.

I never pictured Cox or Turk as far left wing liberals as they were depicted.

The two things they at least did right was have at least equal amount of characters on each side, but left J.D. neutral. And they treated the wounded soldier fairly and Bob having some kind of a connection and sympathy with him.

Having to hear about Iraq all day and every day on TV news and radio, newspapers, magazines, and Internet websites (which I don't mind because it is the real world), but the last thing I want to hear or see is to have to be reminded on a fictional fantasy comedy show. I just felt uncomfortable watching it. Sort of like Homer's "Then why are we in Iraq" line last episode of The Simpsons. For some reason, it took me out of the fantasy of watching it.

Since watching the episodes this season, I'm mixed about whether or not I would like to see a seventh season. I know Bill Lawrence is debating that now, but if these episodes don't get any better, then I say leave it at 6 seasons.

I'm not looking to start a political debate here (because I know this board isn't for it but this episode started it), I'm just saying that with shows like Scrubs for example, it really takes me out of the fantasy and far fetched comedy that they try and put on.

Just for the love of God, leave this behind and go back to the funny stories that you know how to tell!

Not really sure why everyone is all boo-hoo about this episode. I think its on the level of some of 5th season's mid-points. I pretty much laughed at all the scenes Zach pointed out. Janitor's rabbit was horrible but at the sametime I couldn't stop laughing at his craziness.

Decent ep, at first the voice over lines for Kelso were a little weird, but they got better and more natural as the ep went on.

Some funny moments to be sure, and I was thinking about the pancake line about two minutes before it showed up, which made me laugh more than I would, but there's really no reason for a clip show in this day and age. With DVD and youtube, the best scenes and lines are still pretty fresh. And not that it's a fault of the show, but it's been in some pretty heavy reruns since September. The only time a clip show really works is in a case like the Clerks one, where it's poking fun of the convention.

Easily my least favorite episode of the show.

I can't remember where, but I remember a mini-description of a future ep saying she goes into a coma and doesn't make it out.

The last new episode I caught was the one where basically JD's life was about as bad as it could get (without him getting fired I guess), and yet everyone wanted to tell him to "suck it up". That was just....I don't know. Definitely not one of my favorites but since CC has stopped at Season 5's end, I'm going to have to actually go to the trouble of remembering when it comes on NBC (which I never even go near anymore since I got satellite) to get my Scrubs fix.

I didn't like that aspect about the episode, either. I mean, Cox loves his kid, and he would've rallied behind J.D. in a second after losing a child. Coersion would not be necessary. Then I watched it again and realized nobody knew about the miscarriage. He was already dealing with it on his own, he just didn't know it yet. That made the whole thing a lot stronger in my opinion.

Saddest episode ever.

Also, we finally see why Dr. Cox's head was shaved.

I think the reason they killed off Laverne was because the writers believed this would be the last season... until NBC (or ABC) left it open they'd pick it up for a 7th season. It's going to be different without Aloma Wright.:crying:

That was a good episode. It was great to get a "Story" from Todd, Ted, and Jordan. The fantasies were funny especially Ted's and The Todd's. One thing that was strange was that JD was BARELY in it. Aside from "His Story III", he was always there with a subplot (he stole the show in "Her Story"); here, it was kind of a cameo. Still, good ep; also, it was cool that Lloyd got more screentime, he's pretty funny.

Tonight's episode of Scrubs will be on at 9:30, replacing Andy Barker, PI, which was unfortunately canceled.
I had to confirm that for myself, because I knew they had moved it to Saturday (which would spell its death anyway, I figured). They played 2 episodes last Saturday, apparently, which means I missed one of them. Man, Andy Richter just can't catch a break on TV, can he? And it was a show that I liked immediately, too! Same with Andy Richter Controls the Universe.

Anyway, that stinks, but I did thoroughly enjoy Scrubs last night. I like it when they let us in on other people's daydreaming. Ted was particularly funny throughout the episode. :)

Yep: it seems like Andy can't keep a show, but it was NBC's fault for showing the whole episodes on their website instead of just one. That was stupid.

And yes, Ted stole the show, along with Lloyd. That stripper pole bit was LOL funny.

Scrubs is my favourite show ever!

Just a reminder to the British fans:

Scrubs airs on E4, ABC1, the Sky channels, Paramount 1 and Channel 4.

New episodes start soon on E4, so make sure to tune in!

As for those on the other side of the pond, some exciting news- Scrubs is going to be aired on TV Land starting 2008.

Very good news for all! :)

Sorry about that, fellow viewers, I was very busy yesterday. For those who saw it on TV or the Internet, feel free to leave comments. Here was yesterday's episode:

My Turf War

Turk and Dr. Cox have an ongoing battle with a patient; Elliot's sorority sister, Melody [Keri Russell] stops by.

A decent episode overall, and nice to see Cox get beaten at his own game. My favorite bit was when Elliot and Melody were screaming a la Black Canary. :p

That scene was hilarious, especially that odd low camera shot of Turk & JD flying. So far, these cold opens have been really funny.

Tonight's "Super-Sized" Episode:

There was a lot to like about this episode. There was one thing to despise - JD and Elliot. Season 3 and especially Season 4 killed their romantic relationship completely, and then Season 5 helped to build up their friendship once again. I like Keith. I liked Kim. I know she should get a lot of flack for what she did, lying and all, but I can understand where the character was coming from.

I just hope this doesn't lead to JD trying to break up Keith and Elliot. We've seen this story already happen three years ago, and it was done well then. I have faith they'll take it in a different direction over the next few episodes, especially since they knew Zach was definitely in for the seventh season by the time of the writing, but I can't help but fear they're just going to retread old stories, and not in the funny My Deja Vu, My Deja VU way.

I'm sure they will take a different route.
In the season finale, JD will decide that he wants what everyone else has, a relationship. He is definetly going to go back to Kim, to find her pregnant.
The writers are not going to be rehashing old storylines.

I thought this was one of the best episodes of the season, alongside My Fishbowl, My Musical, My Scrubs, and My Best Friend's Baby's Baby. Everything was well done, from the fantasies [Dr. Cox's was hilarious:D], the regular comedy, to the very good ending. Thumbs up!

Oh, I know she's supposed to show up next week, which gives me hope. But I also know the writers are 50/50 on whether or not they should get together for good.
It's just that my faith in the show has diminished slightly as they shifted the focus onto Elliot until they knew whether Braff was coming back or not, which resulted in some weaker plotlines. Not necessarily the comedy aspect, but the drama (and I'm a Keith fan!), which is one of the reasons I love the show as much as I do.

Still, I hope next week will turn everything on its head yet again, leading up to a great finale.

I love this show and I usually don't post since I'm so lazy but "My Cold Shower" was a nice return to form. Zach Braff did a good job at the end and it was nice to see JD act serious/real again. A well done episode with a nicely directed ending.

Gotta love that Dr.Cox fantasy too...

I noticed the shift, too, but I hope they try to do something different. JD had so many chances to be with Elliot, but he ruined it with that odd "wants what he can't have" thing. I would say that he should stay with Kim, but with the miscarriage lie, I don't know. We'll just have to see...

I enjoyed last night's episode. I'm glad JD was furious with Kim, I would have felt the same way if someone did that to me. The end is a good cliffhanger, although I think JD should have custody of the baby and raise it as his own and stay away from Kim. His chances for Elliot are doubtful.

As for the comedy, everything was funny. Old MC was hilarious, Dr. Cox's rants were good, Dr. Toliet was funny if lengthy, and the jab at "Basic Instinct 2" was really funny. Janitor being Chief of Medicine was another plus.

I loved this exchange:

Janitor: "... and that's how I got my name."

Resident: "You don't look Asian."

That was hilarious! So does the Janitor have an asian name? Or just another made-up one like in season 3's "My Friend the Doctor"?

They never said his name, but I'll bet it's probably fake.

Good episodes tonight, although I definitely liked My Point of No Return better. The braintrust was great, and Doug had some funny lines, "Oh come on this guy sucks!"

The JD/Elliot thing...oh boy. I'm on the fence about it still, I don't want the Keith relationship to be destroyed since he hasn't done anything wrong and they've been building it up really well. On the other hand, seeing Elliot in Scrubs again along with them holding hands brings back fun memories of earlier seasons.

What's funny is I didn't notice Elliot was wearing Scrubs again until J.D. points it out.

What a cliffhanger:
Episode ends abruptly right before JD and Elliot kiss.

I have a prediction. When the season 7 opens up, it'll pick up from that scene, but someone will walk into that closet and interrupt them.

I'm glad Scrubs is coming back, it'd be a shame if we didn't see the fall out of JD's decision. It doesn't seem like he ever makes choices in his personal life that make him happy. I did love his conscious, though.

My Rabbit: This was a good episode. I was glad that there were more JD/Cox interactions. The bunny being a conscience was funny, as well as JD trying to smooth things out with Kim. Good ep. 8/10

My Point of No Return: The best of the two. Even though this is mainly about JD and Elliot, the episode is stolen by the Janitor and his "Brain Trust", who were constantly hilarious as well as Dr. Cox freaking out about JD being the godfather of his baby. Doug being excluded from the Brain Trust was another plus, and, even though I saw it coming, the ending was great. Really well done finale. 10/10

I posted this exact same thing on another forum, but I'm just lame enough to copy it here:
The final two episodes were okay, but nothing really stood out to me until the end. That exchange between JD and Elliot was the first time I've seen them as actual characters in years. It reminded me of the time when I actually cared about them, when they were likeable, heck, when they had actual personalities instead of being shallow plot devices for increasingly surreal gags. I miss that perfect balance between hysterical yet-in-character scenes and well-crafted, touching moments the first two -maybe three- seasons had, and that hasn't been done as successfully on TV since. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the show, but it's just not the same anymore.

Yeah, I know, this rant has been stated a million times before, but who cares.

No I agree 100%. Early Scrubs was a lot better and more funny without the over the top sillyness.

But it's still a good show to watch.
