Amazing Spider-Man #38 will finally ship on Febuary 6th, according to www.diamondcomics.com and www.comiclist.com. The issue will feature the long await Aunt May/Peter Parker confrontation. At the end of ASM #35, Aunt May discovered her beloved nephew was the web-slinger...and now she wants to talk. Man...this is gonna be tense. Also, Ultimate Spider-Man #18 ships that day as well.

Will this be the 'Nuff Said issue, or will #39 (which, originally would have been 38, and 38 was originally supposed to ship in December as a part of the silent month)???

I'm almost positive every issue was pushed back because of the 9-11 ish. Can't wait for #38!

Issue #38 won't be a silent becuase of #36, the WTC issue. That issue pushed back the issues by one month, so the real story set for issue #36 was publishe din issue #37, and #37's in 38, etc...So silent issue (which Marvel may not do now) will likely be in #39.

Anyway, where'd ya hear that Marvel might not do the silent ish? I mean, that's awesome news and I really hope it happens, but where'd ya hear it?

Maybe #38 will be a one page issue. This could be the text:
May: Peter? What is this? A Spider-man costume???
Peter: Huh? Oh yeah...that old thing. I wore it for a costume party last night.
May: Oh. Well, good night dear!
lol.....just kidding guys. :p
I don't normally read ASM...but I'll probably pick up #38...should be interesting.

Y'know, I love Straczynski for doing this, and I'm sure he'll handle the story well...but I can't help this feeling I have of "who the hell cares". J.M. Demattis already handled this story to perfection back in ASM #400. Aunt May revealed that she's known Peter's secret for a long time, and that she respected him for it. She said that she would had to have been PRETTY stupid not to realize that Peter was Spidey all these years, and I agree with her. She WOULD had to have been pretty stupid. And then she died, peacefully. The whole story was quite beautiful...
...too bad it means absolutely nothing now. Better the old woman stay alive for an inhuman number of years, with her stupid old-lady hatred of that horrible Spider-Man.
I'll read ASM #38, but the entire time I'll be thinking, "feh."

I read that issue...and loved it. It was so perfect, so beautiful, just so well done. I still have it, too, although the cheesey and worthless gatefold tomb cover is a bit warped. I loved how it ended, and how Peter used the Peter Pan analogy that she and Uncle Ben used to say to him. *sigh*
