Before you jump on me and delete this thread, I'm aware we are not to ask Mr. Timm any questions directly on these boards. However, since this is an open letter and not a question, and since I know he visits these boards and I obviously don't have his email address, I figured this is the best place to do it.

Dear Mr. Timm:

As you have no doubt heard, Joss Whedon has been taken off the forthcoming live action Wonder Woman film. This is a great dismay to many fans who were anxiously awaiting his version of Diana. Now, I know from your previous posts here at Toon Zone that you are a very big fan of Joss Whedon's work, and his positive influence can be seen all over Justice League Unlimited. I also know that you are overseeing all the forthcoming DC Universe DTV DVDs. I know that a Wonder Woman animated movie is in the very early planning stages. I want to suggest that you consider using Joss Whedon's unused script for Wonder Woman. Many, many Whedon fans are dissapointed that his script won't be used, not to mention this may be a great marketing tool for the DVD. Plus, I think Joss Whedon + Bruce Timm = Geek Heaven, and would be a silver lining to this whole debacle. Obviously, live action and animation are not the exact same thing, and some changes may need to be made, but I think it's a great idea. I hope you consider it, and look forward to all your new projects.

Sincerely,
-Eric A. Diaz

It seems to me that it would depend on several large factors, not the least of which is how comfortable Whedon is with his script at all. I'm not a Whedonesque follower, but of what I have read of his posts over there, he did seem to be implying that (using his own basketball metaphor) he hadn't been nailing a slam dunk with the script.

I don't think I really want to see Whedon's version of Wonder Woman. I mean, if she can't fly and she doesn't fight any of the villains from the comics I really don't think I'd want to see it.

Ditto. Reminds me of when John Peters wanted Kevin Smith to leave out the suit and flying in the Superman Lives script.

I don't think I need to tell you why this thread is being closed.
