This is the talkback thread for Boston Panic Boosts "ATHF" Ratings (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=14829).

While the ratings uptick was expected, the 4% decrease in the 18-34 group is surprising.

It's only 4%, and it was probably because those people were doing/watching something else and aren't necessarily consistent Adult Swim viewers. The 20% uptick is also much expected by probably those OLDER than 34 and women.

Anytime you have a 20% increase in ratings.....that's HUGE.

I don't, however, think it's going to make that much of a difference in the long run (good or bad). When you look at the 18-34 ratings on the weekends, the top shows vary between 1-200 thousand every night. That's easily a 20% variation. (I'm not sure what kind of TOTAL ratings ATHF usually gets though.)

If anything-considering the 2 MILLION DOLLARS Turner has to pay Boston for this nonsense-good for ATHF. I doubt it leads to a long-term ratings increase (especially the outraged +35 year olds who only tuned in out of curiosity), but it's good for Thursday.

News coverage also apparently sent 77% more eyeballs to CartoonNetwork.com (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/) on February 1 than hit the website on the previous Thursday. But how much more traffic did adultswim.com get?

I can't tell you how much adultswim.com but ASHQ's stats doubled on January 31st and then doubled again from that on February 1st.
