Aw, darn. I screwed ANOTHER poll. I forgot to click the "enable poll" or whatever it says option!!
Oh well, I just won't do a poll. Anywhat, what is your favorite stuff-comes-to-life cartoon(s)? I like "Book Revue", "Have You Got Any Castles?" and "Billboard Frolics" the best.

It's certainly the most roll-on-the-floor hilarious, no doubt about that, but largely that's due to the fact that it's really a spoof of the genre (in particular there are direct take-offs on things in the Tashlin come-to-life cartoons). For the traditional kind, the various Harman & Ising MGM entries, like "Art Gallery" and especially "Bottles" are among my favorites.

My favorite is "Book Revue". Notheeng could be feener... :)

....that reminds me of a question - was Disney's Midnite in a Toyshop (1930) the very first cartoon to use this concept or had it been done by someone else earlier?
