Cartoon Network Scores Highest January Kid Ratings and Delivery Ever

Kicking off 2002 with a big bang, Cartoon Network posted its highest-ever January total day ratings and delivery of kids 6-11 and kids 2-11, its top target demographics. Additionally, the network earned its best-ever January delivery of households, kids 9-14 and adults 18-34. In prime time, Cartoon Network scored its highest January ratings and delivery of kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14, plus its best-ever delivery of kids 2-11 and households. For the entire month, Cartoon Network ranked #1 in prime time delivery of kids 6-11 and kids 2-11 and charted the largest net delivery gain of these key demos in both prime time and total day vs. any ad-supported cable network.

January delivery and ratings highlights include:
* Kids 6-11 Delivery & Ratings Growth - Total Day: 37% & 21%, Prime Time: 22% & 6%
* Kids 2-11 Delivery & Ratings Growth - Total Day: 23% & 4%
* Tweens 9-14 Delivery & Ratings Growth - Total Day: 35% & 25%, Prime Time: 18% & 5%
* Adults 18-34 Delivery Growth - Total Day: 19%
* Household Delivery Growth - Total Day: 16%, Prime Time: 3%
* Cartoon Network's Adult Swim , its three-hour, late-night franchise of original cartoons (Sundays & Thursdays, 10 p.m.-1 a.m.), also improved delivery of its adults 18-34 target audience by 52 percent in January.

Delivery of men 18-34 more than doubled (107%), while adults 18-49 delivery grew 55 percent. The Jan. 6 telecast of Sealab: 2021 (11:15 p.m.) earned the highest adult 18-34 rating (1.4) and delivery (650,000) ever for an Adult Swim program.

* Additional programming highlights for January include:
* Courage the Cowardly Dog marathon (Monday, 1/21, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) increased last year's ratings of kids 6-11 (3.3) by 120 percent, tweens 9-14 rating (2.4) by 140 percent, and drew 9,990,000 different viewers
* Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase (Saturday, 1/19, 7-9 p.m.) on Cartoon Network Theatre produced the franchise's highest rating and delivery ever among: kids 2-11 (7.0, 2,134,000 viewers), kids 6-11 (6.9, 1,305,000 viewers) and tweens 9-14 (4.1, 767,000 viewers)
* Sheep in the Big City (Friday, 1/11, 11 p.m.) scored its highest tweens 9-14 rating (3.8) and delivery (704,000) ever.
