The Royal Rumble (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=182824) for ECW saw Bobby Lashley keep his ECW Title away from Test, now the Extremists will look to be the first ECW stars to be a part of WrestleMania! Tonight Mr. McMahon will make his first ECW appearance.

January 30, 2007
After all was said and done at the Royal Rumble, Bobby Lashley remained ECW World Champion when he defeated Test by count-out. This week on Sci Fi, the two men will meet again for the ECW World Title in a Royal Rumble rematch. Will Lashley once again get the best of the Impact Player, or will Test's quest for the gold come to its climax?
Also, Mr. McMahon will make his first-ever appearance on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night, as he apparently plans to continue his Fan Appreciation Night. What does The Chairman have in store for the ECW fans?
On last week's show, Kelly Kelly gave ECW fans the long-awaited return of Kelly’s Expose. The event featured Extreme Expose members Layla and Brooke in the first complete edition of Kelly’s Expose. Will ECW fans continue to be entertained now that Mike Knox is no longer getting in the way?
Find out the answers to all of these questions and more ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT.

Well this week's ECW is off to a rousing start.:shrug::shrug: I hate politics.
Tazz quoting Larry the Cable Guy. That convinced me not to be sad when or if he gets wished well on his future endeavors.
I see Vince will do his promo opposite WSX. Like that'll make a difference in the ratings, Vince.

I wasn't too impressed with the ECW Originals beating down the hot newcomer Burke. Probably the last successful beatdown for the ECW originals if a lot of the rumors are true about a lot of the wrestlers.
Also a disappointing Vince segment. he added nothing to the show.
Main event was blah till Taker showed up. My tag-team partner Matt Hazuda thinks Taker may wrestle ALL the champs at Mania. Sort of like a unification of the titles. He thinks it has potential. And that sounds pretty good. It would be better than the clichic main events we've grown accustomed to.
Overall, a bad show this week. It seems WSX may garner most of my attention in the future.

Striker gets a win back over Punk by cheating. Figures. Holly gets a clean pin three weeks ago, but Striker needs a shortcut. Bad booking. Holly goes over RVD clean in the match of the night, and puts himself right in line to be the next challenger for Lashley.
I'm wondering just what Crazy Vinnie has in mind now. He's touting Elijah Burke as the future of ECW?! Someone has to come along to offset any sort of heel boss Vince might send in this time. Burke gets killed by Dreamer, Sandman, Mahoney, & Sabu, so figure they'll put him over the four of them in the next month, mostly by cheating, although Burke won't need that. I think pairing Burke with Marquis Cor Van might be worth seeing.
Test just shot his wad vs. Lashley, so the next challengers figure to be Holly, Burke, and maybe Undertaker (right). If Vince was in his right mind---and we know he hasn't been since challenging Hulk Hogan 4 years ago---he would actually try to recapture the spirit of ECW. Instead, he's killing the charisma they have left. If his promo was supposed to offset WSX, it didn't work. He & Burke were boring people to death, and WSX was a rerun because of the stealth premiere 4 days earlier. Empty-V shot itself in the foot with that tactic.
I think it's time for a restart to the McMahon family feud, don't you?

About 9:30 last night I was faced with a choice, watch ECW or WSX. Let's just say I enjoy crappy explosions more than listening to Vince talk.

While I didn't mind the idea of ECW Originals vs. new ECW getting startted once more, it was pointless to do it with Vince and Elijah Burke. They should have at least had Marcus Cor Von and Rene Dupree out there to assist Burke and get a legit feud between old and new startted.
The Lashley smash match bored me, but I was impressed with Holly vs. RVD and Striker vs. Punk. Kelly's Expose should be disbanned and burned at the stake though for wasting quality wrestling time.

RVD vs Holly was a good match. I've never disliked Holly until now when I found out about his and others backstage politicing. I suppose his come from behind win over RVD was to make Holly seem more credible since people still don't give a damn about him despite being in the WWE longer, thus meaning he's the more bankable star according to WWE logic. But in my mind you can only make a likeable star like RVD look like a loser so many times before people stop caring. I would think that if Vince wanted him to stay (if for no other reason than to keep TNA from getting him), then he would have had him win, but then have Holly attack him after the match. That way, neither guy loses credibility. But what do I know?
Everything else about the show was complete garbage, plain and simple.

RVD is in the same boat Christian was. If TNA can offer anywhere near the money WWE can there's absolutely no reason for him to stay. Even though his troubles are largely of his own making, Vince doesn't seem to have ever been particularly high on the guy.

I was there LIVE at ECW and of course it was my first ECW in my life but, not the same ECW like back in the day.
It's fuuny how all the WWE refs and crew had to quickly get the whole SmackDown! setup down quick since they only had about 10 minutes before ECW went on LIVE!
Well, at least I saw CM Punk in action but that match ended to fast.
Hardcore Holly and RVD was alright and was glad to see Hardcore win the match.
The best part of the night was when all of the ECW originals came and went EXTREME on Burke. It was so cool that when Sabu smashed Burke through the table, the whole arena exploded with the "ECW" chant. God! I felt like it was ECW of old again! Great feel for it!!! I even said out loud to everyone in the crowd siiting near me, "Now that's the old ECW, and the BEST!!!"
I can't believe Test lost again to Lashly! So much for the main event. What a waste. My friend was upset that he didn't get to see Kevin Thorn LIVE in action. Afterwards, I was surprised where Undertaker showed up. I swear, he must of came from under the ring cause he for sure didn't come through the crowd.

So tonight was the premiere of Wrestling Society X and to combat it ECW had...a poorly-choreographed dance group, Vince McMahon appearing to stroke his ego again, the beatdown of a wrestler who has the potential to carry the company one day, and a rematch of two big guys who can't carry each other to a good match. Yeah, real smart creative.
At least CM Punk and RVD were on the first half, since it looks like neither of them are going to get pushed anytime soon. The clean loss to Holly annoys me to no end though, since the guy has been around for so long and no one really cares about what happens to him.
I was also disappointed with the lack of Kevin Thorn. Not necessarily because of him, more because that meant no Ariel :crying:.

I liked Vince going around; interacting with all the ECW Originals backstage, the only part I was a little bit bothered by was that Vinnie Mac acted like he had never met Tommy Dreamer before. I suppose it’s believable that that character Mr. McMahon had never met dreamer, but the guy has been with there since 2001 and I suppose as “worked for WWE” since 2002—that’s a while.
“It’s not how hard you work; it’s how smart you work.” And that’s what Matt Striker did to beat CM Punk. The teacher took the young Extremist to school.
Holly vs. RVD was intense! When these two do battle, they just bring it!
And the Extreme Expose still sucks. I’d like to think that this ludicrous version of the segment is not something Paul Heyman would have engaged in.
By the time Vince made it to the ring for his actual segment I was rather disappointed. He talked some smack about Trump and then pretty much all the guy did was introduce Elijah Burke, who talked about how great he was and then got beat up by four guys.
I feel like I’ve seen Test-Lashley so many times now that I didn’t really care (and I actually like Test). I just feel like this whole feud has been handled poorly since the match was officially announced. The only solace I took was Undertaker showing up at the end. I’m hopeful this means he will eventually stay on SmackDown! and is just playing the intimidation game.

Doubtful at best.
Well, since Christian is in TNA, its either a very real possibility, or going somewhere where he doesn't get treated like garbage is more important than money.

Sabu will soon be making his way back to Orlando and he will coax RVD to come along with him. Mark my words. It's only a matter of time until all of the "ECW originals" abandon this sinking ship.....

Well, since Christian is in TNA, its either a very real possibility, or going somewhere where he doesn't get treated like garbage is more important than money.Christian didn't leave for money, he left because WWE was disrespecting him and he saw a real opportunity. RVD could leave, sure, but he won't be leaving for more money.
