Heya all!

I'm just wondering what everyone thought about the second part of "Paradise Lost". Did it live up to your expectations and was the animation good? Please no spoilers! Thanks...

So far, it's my fave episode.

I didn't have ANY expectations for it, as I considered it a Wonder Woman episode (not my fave JLer). But MAN! Some great stuff happening in that episode..

A few cool touches, but overall I was extremely disappointed.

Perhaps you could say why you were disappointed in the other JL thread for "Paradise Lost"....

I thought it was great. The ending was very exciting, and dramatic.

Your wish is my command. Just wanted to keep this one "spoiler-free" as DisneyBoy requested. :)

Thanks all, for not giving anything away. Since I've yet to see it, I didn't want anything given away, so major thanks for respecting that! It seems there are a lot of mixed opinions. I wonder though, are the people that didn't enjoy Part Two the same ones that didn't enjoy Part One? Basically, without giving anything away , was it the action, animation, characterization, plot, pacing, interactions or dialogue what made you like it or hate it?

I'm just wondering what everyone found so disappointing, in general terms.

Thanks for keeping this spoiler free!

I try to view two-parters as one complete episode, so my judgement applies to "Paradise Lost" across the board. Yeah, there are some 2-parters (like "Feat of Clay") where one part is clearly better than the other, but I thought the two parts of PL were pretty much equivalent.

Basically, I thought the story was flat and uninteresting--it had a "let's have the heroes run an obstacle course" structure.

I will say that there were some good fight scenes and a creepy final battle. Also some gorgeous faux-Greek iconography that was apparently designed, drawn and colored by Timm himself--lovely stuff NOT to be missed.
