The Tom/Lucy bit at the award show was (sadly) predictable, but I hope things get patched up next week. Like Matt, I, too, was surprised that it wasn't Luke who was also bidding for the dinner date with Harriet. That revelation on the red carpet was funny. And Casey Sander was hilarious as the snake handler. He was probably my favorite recurring actor on Home Improvement, so it was great to see him again.

Just one comment for this excellent show?! This is making me sad. Maybe one thread was the way to go after all.
I knew Tom should have just told Lucy the truth, but Simon had to go and encourage him to make things complicated. I'm not a woman, but I would think my boss's boss's boss is making me take this girl to this banquet would be a good enough excuse. She looked really hurt there. I don't how this will come out, but it appears Tom had decided to start throwing back and Kim is already plastered.
I suppose now that Danny agreed to leave Jordan alone that they'll have some deep conversation on the roof and things could change. Not bad necessarily, but cliche to be sure. I'm confident Sorkin will make it work though.
Matt really messed things up thinking that Luke was the other bidder he was facing off with for a date with Harry. I'd be really interested in some flashbacks (which Sorkin is great at) regarding these two, because Matt and Harry really push the limits of "opposites attract."
Timothy Busfield is great as Cal and his working with the snake handler to get that viper and then the ferrit was just great. I look forward to that adventure continuing. "What comes after the coyote?"

Looks like you'll get your wish next week (http://www.tv.com/studio-60-on-the-sunset-strip/the-friday-night-slaughter/episode/964788/summary.html). :D
