So, would anyone recommend me buying some of these DVDs if I were to try and get into this show? I don't have any anime channels, and Adult Swim is my only real outlet for anime, but if I wanted to get into anime comedy, would this be a good purchase?

I've only seen 3 episodes, but they were freaking hilarious.

It's also one of the few animated comedies Matt Wilson likes, which says a lot.

If any FUNi/AN Entertainment reps are reading this: Thank you for being patient with this review getting published. We've had quite a backlog of reviews here at TZ, and since this one was sent out after its release date, other DVDs kept taking priority. :sweat:

On topic, it's a funny show, worth trying out at least. I still think there are funnier anime comedies out there (recently, Ninja Nonsense comes to mind), but it definitely has its moments, mainly from Guu.

EDIT: Did I mention I love the OP & ED for this show? They perfectly capture the jungle theme with a high energy dance party flavor, and it's nice that they're not completely unrelated J-pop plugs like a lot of other shows.
