The JL members break into Faust's home, where they discover all sorts of artifacts. Batman finds one that has some mention of Tartarus on it. Diana then told the story of how Hades had once had a romantic relationship with her mother, Hippolyta, and how he plotted against the great gods and sided with the Titans hoping to gain control of the world. For his treachery, he was banished to Tartarus and the gods punished Hippolyta by making her the guardian of the gates to Tartarus. This sequence was the flashback sequence that people are talking about, and was designed with the Greek style.
