Anyone have a pic of him? And what is his origin and powers?

His powers are the same as Superman's. He's a villain from the Phantom Zone and he was originaly from Krypton. He was a general, then eventually he became a criminal, and Jor-El sent him to the Phantom Zone. (I think) As far as a picture of him? Don't have one...but he was on the movie Superman II. Terrance Stamp played him. Although he looked a lot different on the movie than he did in the comics...he actually wore what looked like an earth general's uniform, but in the movie, he just wore black.

In the comics, General Zod and his followers threatened to destroy Earth. Since they had already destroyed other worlds, Superman felt it was his duty to punish them.
He took their powers from them with one kind of Kryptonite (red?), and executed them with green Kryptonite, and it remains something that torments him.

That's the Post-Crisis story, I never liked that....I never thought that Superman would kill anyone.

Actually if you can find it look up the story that re-did Supes origin in DC Comics (not so much re-did but altered). It was published last year or so and even brought Krypto back into the mix. You'll understand more about General Zod and his connection to Supes if you can find these issues.
