Birds of Prey sounds like an attempt to recreate the success of Smallville, but I don't think it's likely that a Kryptonian meteor shower can strike twice.

I guess that we can assume, that if is takes place in the "Smallville" continuity, that "Birds of Prey" takes place in the future. If a young Bruce Wayne ever shows up on "Smallville," "Birds of Prey" would contradict this, knowing that Batman is in some sort of isolation now.
