I'm not much into wrestling anymore, but I liked The Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Bret and Owen Hart, and Big Show. Going back further, my favorites when I was younger were Hulk Hogan (duh!) and Roddy Piper.

And since you didn't specify favorite male or female, my favorite Divas are Stacy Keibler, Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, and Miss. Kitty. :D

I was bored so my choices are overly explained. Also, this is more of a general "favorite pro wrestlers" list, but all these guys have worked in the WWE at some point or another anyway.

10. Chris Benoit - One of the best technical wrestlers in the history of the game. I remember him most for his "Best of 7" feud with Booker T. that was a very novel concept of the time, running matches throughout the shows. The "Rabid Wolverine" never was amazing with the mic but always very acceptable and at best, intense. Finally went over the top in the WWF with his feud with The Rock and ultimately landed the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Unfortunately, he seems like one of those guys that gets one long run with the belt and then never quite gets to the top again (see Rey Mysterio probably).

09. Christian - Better as a heel than a face. Christian is the better of E&C, just slightly in my opinion. I don't know, Christian's promos seem to pack more thought and emotional pump than Edge's equivalent when they are on their own. Christian seems like a man that puts a lot into his angles. He has great one liners to get him over as a heel such as "I'm an instant classic!" or his obnoxious Captain Charisma persona. Definitely is better in TNA as the only things he really did in WWE were as part of the Edge & Christian tag team.

08. Raven - One of the best guys on the mic ever, if not the best. He was the only guy who could integrate a reference to Napoleon or Shakespeare's King Lear and make it a believable, intense promo. The guy made Tommy Dreamer in ECW and he partially made everyone in his Flock in WCW. He briefly made Sunday Night Heat interesting in WWE. The only thing is, he's more of a brawler so his matches were never as good as someone like Jericho's (although they once were very enjoyable). His Evanflow/Raven Effect DDT was one of those moves that could come out of nowhere and had great impact. He actually had a great run in TNA up until his departure after losing the title to Jarrett in 2005. He really hasn't been the same since.

07. "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase - Great wrestler and great guy. One of the best heel characters. Should have been a World Champion at some point. This guy freaking lived his gimmick. I'm talking, they gave him $100 dollar bills to overtip or give out in restaurants. Of course, he had his classic promos where he would ask someone to do something and then botch it near the end. A real role model for wrestlers after the business. A reverend and yet still worked (or works) in some capacity with wrestling.

06. "Macho Man" Randy Savage - Despite the fact that roughly half of his promos were comedy, Savage managed to do some GREAT promos (most notably "History beckons the Macho Man!" before WrestleMania III with Steamboat). Of course, he was a great wrestler, mostly during the late 80's in his feuds with Steamboat, Dibiase, and Hogan. He was part of one of the best matches of all time with Steamboat at WrestleMania III, which inspired a bunch of wrestlers into the business. Unfortunately, he became pretty unbearable in later life. Pretty much useless and boring in late WCW. His repackaging with Gorgeous George as "Macho Madness" or whatever made him seem like not even the same person.

05. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair - Pretty much was WCW. His departure in the early 90's was partially why WCW was losing steam faster and faster and their main event was being propped up by Sid and Vader. Sting pretty much had nothing to do without Flair. Flair was very charismatic and great back in the heyday of WCW. Lost some of his vigor in the late 90's and lingers in the WWE today. Disappointing how much his book was so full of politicking, I've heard.

04. "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig - One of the best heels of all time. Such a simple and great gimmick. Curt Hennig was the definition of the WWF's midcard in the early 90's, feuding with great up-and-coming talent. This isn't when the Intercontinental title division had the Ultimate Warrior and the Honky Tonk Man. This is when it had Kerry Von Erich, Tito Santana, and the like. Had two nice, lengthy Intercontinental title runs. Too bad Hulk Hogan humiliated him in one short feud and injuries caused him to never really get elevated otherwise. Went to WCW and did have a somewhat intriguing storyline with the betrayal of the Horsemen, but once again he was lost in the shuffle of the NWO. He had at least one United States title run, but I barely remember it. Should have been a World Champion at some point.

03. Owen Hart - Died too young. A great wrestler who could have been a main eventer, despite what others might tell you he "lacked". If he hadn't have died, I would assume he would have been a multiple time WWE champion, similarly to the stories of Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, and Eddie Guerrero. Excellent matches, of course most remembered for matches with his brother Bret. The WWF screwed him over after Bret's departure by nonsensically throwing him in the Nation and lingering him in feuds with the likes of Ken Shamrock, Sean Waltman, and the Godfather. He worked one match with WWF Champion Shawn Michaels in which he nearly won the title on a Raw following the Montreal Screwjob. Had they went with that feud a bit longer with a program, he might have done more.

02. Chris Jericho - Pretty much perennially underrated (except for a couple of months there in late 2001/early 2002, but even then it was all Triple H WrestleMania build up). Jericho is one of the best people on the mic of all time as well as one of the better athletes of all time. Even though he was a great in ring technician, I remember him more for his hilarious WCW angles with the likes of Rey Mysterio, Prince Iaukea, Dean Malenko, Juventud Guerrera, and Bill Goldberg. Got some glory in the WWE but still lingered in the midcard a bit too much.

01. Bret "Hitman" Hart - He was my favorite wrestler and he will always be my favorite wrestler. Bret "Hitman" Hart pretty much did it all in the WWF, winning multiple tag team championships, intercontinental championships, and five World Heavyweight Championships. Put on some of my favorite matches of all time such as his Survivor Series 96 and WrestleMania 13 matches with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Iron Man Match with Shawn Michaels, and Summerslam 92/In Your House December 95 matches with the British Bulldog. He could pretty much pull a great match out of anyone, such as having athletic and fast paced matches with giants like Sid, Kevin Nash, and the Undertaker. Disgustingly misused in WCW as he was cast into the NWO and forgotten (simiilarly to how Owen was cast into the Nation and forgotten in the WWF). Eventually got the WCW title, but it was really too late to make up for the year and a half of United States title feuds with Diamond Dallas Page and Booker T. Grew up with the business and loved the business.

The only wrestlers that I've become fanboy-ish twoard were The Hardys back in the TLC days, and Chris Jericho. Although lately I've been getting that way about CM Punk. Really makes me wish I could see some of his indy/TNA stuff, since all I've seen of him is his WWE work.

As far as just overall favorites? Benoit. Austin. Angle. Lesnar. Edge.

Gregory Helms is one I haven't seen mention, but I've liked him since his "Sugar Shane" days in WCW. The guy's been put with some career-ending gimicks over the years (3 Count, Hurricane), but he always makes them work. The guy is so under-rated it's crazy. The guys been the Cruiserweight champion for a year now, yet he fights to even get on the card on a weekly basis. He's not even in the Rumble this Sunday, if I'm not mistaken. Yet the guy could make a very credible US Champion at this point, and carry the belt well. Not to mention he can adapt to nearly any wrestler he's with.

Although lately I've been getting that way about CM Punk. Really makes me wish I could see some of his indy/TNA stuff, since all I've seen of him is his WWE work. Ring of honor has put out three discs, and Full Impact Pro has put out one, featuring the only falls-count-anywhere match ever to end up in a strip club. Must-see stuff is Raven feud on the first ROH disc, and the Punk-Joe trilogy on the third disc.

Shame IWA-MS hasn't cashed in... you'd have a hard time saying 'no' to Punk vs Rey Misterio vs Eddie Guerrero.
