Dunno if anybody saw this posted on the newspage by Nass (article located here: http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18211) but Hasbro is re-hashing more old bat-vehicles. This time around...it's.

The TAS Batmobile and Batplane. Now I don't know about the rest of you..but the Batplane has been on my want list forever. I'm glad hasbro finally got around to releasing it again...

now I gotta go buy that..lol

anybody else excited about this? or am I the only one who missed buying the Batplane the first time around.. ? :o

Well I read somewhere that the canopy of the Batwing is kinda green. I don't know if that is true, on the pictures I've seen so far it looks blue to me.

Does anyone know if the new Batwing/Batmobile is in a black color? The ones they released in 1993 were in a tacky blue color *yuck*

the one in 93' was from TAS...and it was the shows color, so that's why it was blue.

I'm hopefully going to TRU soon, so I'll let you know what I find...

Well, think about it. The color scheme was the same as Batman's cowl, cape, gloves and boots were black too.

It was meant to be as black as Batman.

BTW watch Feat Of Clay P1 the Batwing is definately black.

The BTAS Batmobile is blue, not black as is Batman's cape, cowl, boots and gloves. There was a lot of black used, for shadows on the suit, since the style of the show depended on it. Whenever Bats was bathed in light, the blue came out screaming. The Batcycle was also blue, though the Batplane was black as night. TNBA is when the change to all black happened.

All of this Hasbro rehash is getting old. It's not a surprise, though. A source, of mine, told me about these two items a couple of months ago. I also spotted a shelf full of those new Batcycle Batman/Nightwing repaint boxed sets at Target the other day. REHASH REHASH REHASH, say it with me now, REHASH......

I think it's arguable whether Batman and his gear is black or blue. Anyway I prefer a black batmobile, the color they used for the BTAS vehicles didn't work out for me. Black would have been better.

BTW why don't they rehash the Dark Knight Collection Batmobile?

It would make me REALLY happy :)

I was just checking up on price guides, and the BTAS original Batmobile in mint condition now costs $180! I'm extremely ticked off now. I had one!

actually I'm really happy about seeing the Batmobile and Batplane again. While I have both I got them used off ebay and they're not in perfect condition.

It averages about $40 on eBay, give or take. The Robin Dragster books for around $350, depending on who you read. It never gets close. The Dark Knight Batmobile/Batwing usually breaks $100, though they are tough to find in mint boxes. Ha, ha the real kicker is if you were lucky enough to buy one of the first WBSS Batman maquettes at $150. They reach as high as $800 on eBay. The other ones are starting to appreciate, too.

Actually, it isn't. If the dark parts of his suit were black, then he would have gray highlights, not blue ones. Anytime he gets hit, straight on, with a spotlight, the areas where the light is is blue. Watch "Heart of Ice" and "The Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne" for examples. They are all through the series, but those are the last two I watched, so they are fresh in my mind.

The blue used on the toys(at least the car) were accurate.

The Batmobile is blue but I always thought the Batplane was black. Maybe I'm wrong. I dunno.

The Batplane was alsways been black (watch Feat Of Clay P1).
But I don't think it makes sense that the Batmobile is blue and the plane is in another color.

The Batmobile is as blue or black as Batman's cowl ect. I think they both were meant to be black and the blue is just there for visual effects.
