My famly has a Hyundai XG350 and this morning like all the other morning the car froze. This is normal for a car in almost 19 degrees weather. I go down to warm it up and the alarm came on. actually two did. The regular one and a different one I never heard before. I took the keys out and my aunt was suppose to drive my sister to school this morning. She didn't get there until 10am! Schools starts at 8:10am. I'm getting quite fed up with this because the same thing has happened for 2 years now. I have found out through examinations that it isn't the car that's frozen, it's that second alarm system that is keeping the car from even turning on at all. Is there a way to turn this alarm system off, for example for valae mode?

Take the car apart and look in the manual for the wire for the alarm, either disconnect or cut the wire and next time you get a car don't get a newer one, they have so many features theres alot more that can go wrong.

I'm going to say no. I had some connections once with people in house alarms, and I asked if they could get me an alarm for my truck at cost and I'd install it. They said you don't want to go messing around with a cars wiring these days on your own. If you zap one of those main computer chips, you're gonna pay alot to replace it.

That being said, I've never heard of two car alarms before. In my area, 19 degrees is not that bad. I expect my car to start in at least -10F. If it's an add on that's causing it, have a shop disconnect it. Car alarms are only a minor nuisance the car thieves.
