What is Lobo's origin and powers?

To tell you the truth, I don't know much about Lobo's origin, but I do remember him talking about blowing up his whole planet so he could be the only one left of his race. He doesn't have any specific powers or anything; he's just violently strong.

Lobo debuted in the mid '70s in The Incredible Hulk and was soon made a major player in the revamped Uncanny X-Men. As his popularity grew, somebody at DC said, "Whoa, Nelly! We need a clone of this guy!" So DC set him in deep space instead of Canada, had him say "bastich" instead of "bub," gave him a grappling hook to replace the retractable claws, but kept the healing factor, hair, cigar, and 'tude.

And now you know...the rest of the story.

Really, aren't they too similar for Lobo not to be a knockoff?

i dont know his story either, but what id really like to know is what the heck is little lobo's story is in young justice. i thought they said he was the orginal lobo somehow turned young. is this true, and if so, wha???

In Young Justice: Sins of Youth, this guy known as Clarion (bum, bum, bum) the Witch Boy turned all of the adult superheroes into kids/teens and all of the teens into adults. At the end of it, Klarion turned everyone on Earth back to normal, but that was only on Earth, so Lobo was turned into a kid. Later on, during Our World's At War, there were a bunch of Lobo clones all around the plce killing each other. One of them escaped, staying a teenager, as the second one killed all of the other Lobos and turned back into an adult. That's about all I know about that. :cool: :p

Lobo first showed up in Omega Men and was very skinny and in a horrible outfit. Nothing that is even close to how the main man looks today. His next really big pick up was in Legion 88. There Dox "neutered" him so he no longer created new little lobo's with every drop of blood spilled. That was a nasty power that worked well when he was hit by a cannon. Lobo's as far as the eyes can see. Short of that he's super strong, he trashed superman on a bet in a bar and came close to winning but was tricked because he was still drunk off his butt. But over all he's very strong, tough and doesn't need to breathe apparently.

And, yes he did kill his entire race so that he could be unique.
