Are Danny Phantom and Sam a couple?

I know, I know, this is probably been covered at least three hundred times. And if it has, could someone provide a link to the thread and close this one?

Anyhooz, onto the discussion. Today I saw an episode of DP where Danny was a judge for a beauty pageant. At the end of the episode, Sam asks Danny if he'd like to go get a veggie-burger. They walk off arm-in-arm. Last time I checked, boy-girl friends don't really do that (the arm-in-arm thing).

Did I miss an ep where they officially hooked up? Or is this simply another tease?:confused:

No, they have not officialy "hooked up" as you say..............however, there have been MANY hints about them possibly EVENTUALLY hooking up, and this was just one of them...............See, they have never linked arms before....and in that episode called called Double Cross my Heart, Danny actually tells Sam she is pretty...something he has never told her yet..........OH God.........:sweat: I DO hope this will not turn into a battle of who should end up with who........I'm really getting sick of these things.......ESPECIALLY since the final episode of Danny Phantom IS done.:sweat: It's just a matter of WHEN Nickeloden will show it. And David Kaufman, voice of Danny, told me that there WILL be some Danny/Sam hints in this final season.

Long story short, no, they are not a couple as of yet. Will they be? That depends on how it goes by the time Season Three ends, one assumes.

If Danny and Sam really do NOT hook up by at LEAST the end of this final season, I will really feel as though some kind of a dirty trick was played by the people who write for Danny.........you don't just have all these hints between them, and then BOOM.....not have them together in some way at the end. :mad: I'm sorry, but that just wouldn't be right.

Its pretty ovbious they will get together at the end even for the none Sam/Danny fans it is. There are way too many hints to proove other wise.

Well, thank you very much for those encouraging words...........:) As I have said, I am not REALLY worried........YET.......because there ARE more episodes to come. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed right now, is all. ;)

Nope not a couple yet, but they'll likely be by the end of season 3.

Personally I think that the best part of the show is the ongoing dynamic between the two charecters.

Well, while I think it's plain obvious as the moon in the night sky that Danny and Sam will be together, theoratically, if they can punch a storyline where Danny ends with someone else or none at all that is just as affective as a Danny/Sam story (amusing we do get one by the end), it'll still be good. I don't care who Danny ends with, I care about story.

Maybe....just MAYBE Valerie just MIGHT end up being FRIENDS with Danny, Tucker, AND Sam, and give up ghost hunting, destroy her ghost hunting equipment, ect.......that is, **IF** She does not go on a lifelong quest for revenge.....which COULD happen, as well as anything else. See, I think that Valerie should end up being TUCKER'S girlfriend.....we all know that Tucker NEEDS a girlfriend, and I agree......but It should NOT be Sam.....(and I am NOT going to say why again, because I feel as though I have said why a MILLION times before....) .and I am NOT saying this because I am prejudiced and think that only African Americans should be together.......I say that because there HAS been at LEAST ONE episode where Tucker liked her.........how does anybody know that they DEFINITELY WOULD NOT get back together? THAT could happen as well as anything else, too. (That is, **IF** Valerie did NOT go on a quest for revenge and actually became friends with Danny, Tucker and Sam.......in which case, Valerie should become TUCKER'S girl. Then EVERYONE'S happy!

I don't really care who gets together with who, but I find it somewhat odd that RonDraken called all of those 'fake-out makeouts' and hand-holding and class ring exchanges to be 'hints', rather than the writers' attempts to keep themselves from actually writing down, "DANNY AND SAM MAKE OUT ALL THE TIME BECAUSE THEY LIKE EACH OTHER, NOT BECAUSE THEY'RE TRYING TO CLEAN OUT THEIR TONSILS!" all over the animation cells.

The word "dude" doesn't necessary mean I think you're a male. That said, If you can find any trace of evidence where I stated I didn't want Danny/Sam together, then please do so because last I checked, I said I didn't CARE who Danny ended with, not "I dislike Danny/Sam, so I don't want them together". Next time, please read what I said instead of assuming what I said and putting words in my mouth.

I think that instead of griping about Nickelodeon and how they have not shown new episodes yet, then I think that people should just CALM DOWN.....RELAX....and just not THINK about when new episodes will or will not come.......trust me, the time will go faster that way. ;)

the answer anyways: Danny has to have something that makes him want to be popular that will add to the story. the thing that is keeping him wanting to be popular is his crush on paulina.
