Metropolis River... Superman's garbage can.

Watching many episodes of Superman the Animated Series, have you noticed, everytime something heavy is going to crash down on the people of Metropolis, Superman seems to always lift it up in the knick of time, then tosses it into the nearest river. Thinking about that, the Metropolis River must be very dirty and polluted with cars, tanks, helicopters, building debrit, etc. It seems Superman's using the Metropolis river as a big 'ol garbage can, to throw away large falling objects. Is there anything else I missed, that Superman threw into the river? :rolleyes:

I realized the same thing. Ive wondered if he goes back at the end of the day and pulls all the junk out of there, who knows.
