Can someone identify this cartoon?

All I remember is a scene with two characters. There is a large, lazy dog and a little feisty cat. The cat does everything he/she can to get the dogs attention. The cat scratches up the fur on his back and pulls his ears but the dog never flinches.

If I remember correctly, the owners of the dog introduce the cat as a new pet at the beginning of the cartoon...

I'm pretty sure it was a Warner Bros piece..

Sounds a little like Robert McKimson's "Mixed Master" except that in this case it's a big active dog that's intorduced to the small lazy dog (who at the end of the cartoon turns out not to be as lazy as we thought)
