A big Peanuts 'bleah' from me for this episode. As a kid I was left really confused by the ending of Mandarin's flashback. And why would the Mandarin put his life story in a little black box for all to find? All in all, it's pretty much what I expect from the first season of Iron Man.

A big Peanuts 'bleah' from me for this episode. As a kid I was left really confused by the ending of Mandarin's flashback. And why would the Mandarin put his life story in a little black box for all to find? All in all, it's pretty much what I expect from the first season of Iron Man.
I also wouldn´t use "the black box" for telling origins. If Mandarin´s Origin would need a subplot at all, it would be about Justin Hammer hiring Chameleon to get the most powerful Iron Man armor and then kill Iron Man and War Machine so Hammer could easily destroy Stark Enterprise, because Tony´s inventions couldn´t beat Hammer´s inventions (without shellheads, there would be nobody to stop Hammer from cheating). My vision of how to get rid of Force Works for this episode: 1) There was one episode with Julia´s daughter Rachel, that I would totally change: Rachel runs away from home, because the court decided she can see her father only once in a month (lots of help came from Matt Murdock hired by Tony Stark). "The Father" asks his goons find Rachel and bring her to his place. The gang found Rachel, but failed in 2nd mission, because The Punisher was standing on their way. It didn´t take long while Iron Man arrived. The Punisher´s answer about the gang was "They´re in the sea". While seeing Rachel frightened, it was clear for Iron Man, what has happened to them. After taking Rachel to Julia, Tony received a message, where Julia promised to work only as a secretary until Rachel´s mourning has decreased. 2) After accidentally hearing Wanda´s conversation with her father on the phone, Tony found out who is her father (the rest of an episode would be about memories of how Iron Man had to cover his suit with plastic after seeing how easily Magneto defeated War Machine), he gave an ultimatum: she forces her father stop fighting against humans or she´ll have to leave Force Works permanently. Wanda picked the 2nd choice (this episode could be 3rd episode, Rachel´s episode 6th and Mandarin´s episode 8th). 3) There was an episode about Hawkeye being framed (it would be 7th episode). What would I change is: cancel Mandarin´s involvement and making Hypnotia Hammer´s goon (he has more believable reasons to steal Stark´s inventions). Tony wouldn´t believe any word of Hawkeye being innocent, causing Hawkeye to leave Force Works until The Hands Of Mandarin. 4) Justin Hammer "accidentally" loses control of his robotarmy and Iron Man, War Machine and The Century are going to stop them. Meanwhile Chameleon has entered the laboratory, where the armors are. Laboratory´s computer is the only one, that sees Chameleon through his disguise as Stark and instead of giving "Stark" an armor, it sends an alert. The ending would be in prison as Chameleon´s watching pictures of Iron Man´s armors. Like I said before this episode is filled with The Origin Of Mandarin as 8th episode and it leads into the next episodes, where in the beginning Hammer visits Chameleon to get the pictures. After that he calls MODOK and soon Julia is watchig Daily Bugle´s news, where Jameson warns everyone to stay away from Iron Man, because he has become dangerous. Tony calls to the police to find out if Chameleon is still in prison. Officer Barnes calms Tony down by saying Colonel Fury has promised to transport him to SHIELD (Barnes was an agent working undercover in police and Tony knew that). This episode ends with "Iron Man" demanding Tony Stark to give his company to Justin Hammer in 24 hours or else he activates the nuclear device. 2nd episode of Iron Man II starts with Tony watching video of Chameleon´s attack and discovers, that he made lots of pictures. He sent The Century into Hammer Industries to copy the pictures and bring them back. He went to SHIELD Helicarrier. Fury first wanted to arrest him, but then agreed to watch the video and pictures. After that they decided to visit Chameleon for answers, but the cell was empty. Sharon Carter said she saw Gabriel Jones and Officer Barnes leave Helicarrier, but Gabe´s fingerprints weren´t seen. Fury told Iron Man to stop Iron Man II, while SHIELD deals with everything else. After the long fight Iron Man II was deactivated. Next two episodes are The Origin Of Iron Man, where the origin is mixed with subplot of Iron Man and SHIELD going after Officer Barnes and Chameleon. By the end of episodes Barnes gets captured, but Chameleon visits Hammer´s new company Hammer INC. The final episode of 1st season would be about the wedding of Tony and Julia. Jim and Julia were surprised when they saw Hawkeye shooting at Tony in front of church (after the wedding) and nothing happened to him. Their surprise were even larger when they saw Iron Man appearing. Hawkeye was defeated when he was reverted to Chameleon. Dum Dum Dugan and Nick Fury took Chameleon away. After that bishop came at Julia and revealed himself (by removing the mask) as Tony. After getting home he explained, that he knew sooner or later Hammer ants him dead so he sent a robot instead and Iron Man was repaired and reprogrammed Iron Man II, that he just couldn´t destroy. The ending shows Mandarin and MODOK getting prepared for the next season. 2nd season´s 1st episode would see Hawkeye´s attempt to return, but all that happened in actual episode of The Beast Within makes Hawkeye to reconsider his thoughts of return and also causes The Century to go as well. The only other change in 2nd season would be Wanda being the only one not returning for The Hands Of Mandarin.
