The Psychologist one? or the News Talkshow one?
I miss the Cartoon Stupid Guy commercials from before the gecko.

I use a TV. *rim shot*
I like the caveman ones. They do kind of rely on a one-note joke, so who knows if they'll stay funny, but they're very cute for now.
...They're definitely better than the gecko, which was a one-note joke that wasn't funny in the first place ("Geico sounds like gecko! DURRRR!!!") stretched waaaaaaay past the point where it should've been allowed to die.

I miss the Cartoon Stupid Guy commercials from before the gecko.
Those are my favorites as well, and fortunately I managed to get some on tape while recording various shows a few years ago.
The caveman ones are hit and miss, but I like the news show, airport walkway, and therapist ones.
The Gecko ones were okay before he became the star.

I liked the early Gecko ones. Now he's played out.
The caveman ones are good.
The ones with the celebrities talking for people annoy the hell out of me.

The gecko - I kind of miss him. The best commercial he was in, by far, had him meeting the Taco Bell Chihuahua.
"So simple..." - They were funny, but now are kind of so-so.
celebrities - The Don LaFontaine one is one of the funniest ads I saw last year. The Little Richard one is also great.

I prefer the gecko, but I do think some of the celebrity ones and some of the cavemen ones are good.

I always wondered when the gecko started working for them. Originally, people called him mistaking him for Geico.
The caveman ones are cool. The airport one is great because I love the song. Anyone know what it is?
Celebrity ones are...egh.....

The song is "Remind Me" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remind_Me), by a group called Röyksopp.

I love the caveman and celebrity Geico ads, but I'm not very fond of the gecko ones, since the gag was never good in the first place.

I miss the Cartoon Stupid Guy commercials from before the gecko.Amen. Watching him get a face full of cannonball is never going to get old.
Also, that catchphrase has stuck with me all these years. Often when people tell me about something they did wrong, I try to cheer them up by telling them "We all do dumb things. Paying too much for car insurance doesn't have to be one of them." Usually works, too. ;)

The Cave Man Ads:
The Good: They're entertaining
The Bad: They have virtually nothing to do with the product they're trying to sell.

The reason the gecko commercials work is because you immediately associate the gecko with the name of the company. My mom actually thinks the name of the company is Gecko. Hell, I bought Geico insurance this past year so obviously their commercials must be doing something right. I didn't even realize that the caveman and celebrity commercials had anything to do with Geico. I mean, I realize they must have mentioned Geico in the commercial, but I didn't remember that part, I just remembered the caveman part and the celebrity part.

In the celebrity ones, they do mention Geico but in the caveman ones? They did in the first ones and that's how it all started. Now there's nothing about Geico in them.
Yesterday, I saw one of them,,,It had Peter Graves...an well known actor, doing some kind of comedy parody on himself, it was funny.
..So I liked it......but I think that these commercials are indeed brilliant!
..I think so because they work so well. As we know, the purpose of commercials is to sell stuff..There are so many on TV, that this purpose gets blurred with so many other ideas. Then, the purpose changes to.. "can you remember a particular commercial for any reason?"....
..Here we are at a website discussing a companies commercials. Also, we are discussing which we like, and which we do not like..This does happen from time to time, but when it does, it shows that the commercial are really working.
..A certain number of viewers will indeed buy the insurance, and consequently , the commercials work.
..so, I like any of those that make me laugh..on radio..there are these biker commercials that are funny. But honestly, Geico has hit the jackpot when it comes to their advertising . and they are funny:).........sun

I still think the "tiny house" one from 2003-04 was genius. I actually thought that was a real show until the end of the ad.

guess i'm the only one who hates the caveman ads...the very first one with the stagehand caveman that walks out was funny. it was kind of like a conan o brien bit....to me it's like it's like the same joke is getting run down our throats now, but i guess since they're a hit we now might even see a caveman sitcom or at least web-show....

The caveman ones stopped getting funny after the first month. I hope they keep up newer gimmicks like the celebrity voices and get rid of the cavemen altogether. They DO mention Geico at the end of all the caveman commercials, but after the first couple ones Geico itself has become less and less of a plot element.
I also liked the fan-letter commercials, with that deadpan guy who also did that Cheese Nibs commercial. I'd like to see newer ones of those.

You're one of the only ones. I despised those ads.
Anyway, the cave man spots are okay (my favorite of the bunch is the airport one, mainly because of the song.), I've been a fan of the gecko for a while, and the celebrity ones (especially Little Richard and Mini-Me) are quite hilarious.

I'm the opposite about the celebrity ones. I like the Don LaFontaine one, but otherwise I they're some of the worst ads Geico has done.
Was there a second one with the caveman in the airport? I saw the tail end of it on a TV in a restaurant a few weeks ago. It looked like he was standing infront of the sign, gesturing at it while arguing with someone on a cell phone, but I never got to see it again.

The Geico comericals are a paradox. They're both blanal, and yet, rather creative for a commerical. It's entertaining, and yet not annoying. The Gecko is cuute, but not to the point of Pokemon or Carebearness. The caveman one gwets a good chuckle. The celebraty ones are preety poor, except for the one in which they had the movie announcer guy. Now that one was great.
You're one of the only ones. I despised those ads.
I liked most of them. Specifically the ones that tried to be real ads/shows (like the soap opera and the hair growth ones) rather than just the general workplace ones.

I'm not a fan of the Caveman ads, myself. They're just... meh.
The celebrity ones are hit and miss, but I prefer them to the Caveman ones.
The gecko ones were hit and miss, too, though I liked them more than either of the above.
The gecko - I kind of miss him. The best commercial he was in, by far, had him meeting the Taco Bell Chihuahua.
Agreed. "Oh great, a talking gecko." :anime:
