In just a little over three weeks, until Cartoon Network's upcoming TOON HEADS: THE WARTIME CARTOONS. What TV rating do you think this Historical program should get.

To get this topic started...My vote went for a TV-MA rating, because this is one program that is strictly for the adult audience, this program deals with WW2 and I don't think kids should watch this special, unless the parents want them to watch and learn on how Hollywood and America was like towards the war (Germans and Japanesse) over 55 years ago.

My other concern towards this special, that the Toon Heads special needs to bring in "HUGE" ratings and i'll tell you why. If Cartoon Network get monstrous ratings for this special, then maybe, just maybe CN will have second thoughts and will present the other TOON HEADS:12 MISSING HARES special (maybe it can be an hour length program this time) and to let CN know that there is an adult audience that want to see totally PIC cartoons in the future.

I think a TV-PG or TV-14 would probably be fine. I think TV-MA is a bit extreme for a WWII cartoon special / documentary (it's not like South Park or something).

I chose TV-PG, mainly because the cartoons really don't depict Nazis any worse than those Indiana Jones movies, the cartoons could easily be watched and very much enjoyed by kids with a parental unit there with them. Now if they were showing Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips, I would go a little higher.

The miniseries "David Halberstam's The Fifties", which aired on the History Channel a few years back, got a TV-G rating, even though one episode included a nude photo of Marilyn Monroe!

That's why I voted for "TV-PG."

In fact, that's exactly why that particular rating was created in the first place. "PG" stands for parental guidance. Parents are supposed to watch the show with their children and then they can have a discussion about the shows' contents.
