If you could have your own Japanimation style giant robot, what witty name would you call it (which can't be the name of any currently known film or TV anime robots, or the names of any Transformer robots either).

After the pitiful Tequila Gundam in G Gundam put Mexican fans to shame I would enter an Aztec Gundam, modeled after an Aztec warrior instead:D

That's a though one... a few names I've used in the past come to mind... Corblade, Thunder Corblade, Hell Corblast, Ravenhawk, Sunra...
But with my recent plunge into Chinese culture thanks to my Mandarin classes I'd probably try to find a name in Chinese... I need to find how 'raven' is said in Chinese...

In what sense? It only got defeated because the pilot cared more for his terminally ill sister.

My giant robot would be convoluted with multiple appendages with various swords, grenades, guns, and maybe flamethrowers in the main pair of arms so the robot can fit its convoluted name Transstan Tinango.

Sound like something from Patlabor :p
another name I'd like to use is 'Iroiki' and any variation like 'Iroiki Galaxy'. Names from the Romance of the Three Kingdom could be fun too :p

Yea, considering they took Alphonse, and in Dominion Tank Police, Alphonse is named as well... so no Alphonse people...

But seriously I would probably just call it by it's model name; oh, and there's always this:

And it even does tricks:

The Psyco-Salamander is a Banpresto original design from a 1991 (or 1992) mediocre-at-best arcade game and Musha Gundams have been around since, I think, 1988; so I don't know if Ryusho Hisho came before or after Psy-Sal.
Psy-Sal is still by far more awesome looking.

Thanks to zhongwen.com (great site BTW) I learned how to say 'raven' or 'crow' in Chinese... surprise surprise it's pronounced... wu ya
oO that's a nice bit of trivia no?
Thunder and Lightening would be Leidian (would be a nice name...)
Thunder alone is Leisheng (not bad either)
Thunderstorm is Leiyu
A Thunderbolt as Pili (odd)
Lightening alone is Shandian (another good name...)
Flash of light is Shangliang (not bad either) and flash or sparkle is 'Shan shan' :p sound like an onomatopea.
Leidian sounds good...

My Japanese robot name?
Gaea-Gigareon (Guy-uh-gi-ga-re-on)
And it's inevitable powered-up form would be Gaea-Gigareon SOUL.

Steve... I'd name my robot Steve.
I have no idea why but that is the first name that popped up in my head when I saw this topic.
