On the Justice League message board, I often see reference to the Crisis - what is this? :confused: I do not read comics, so if someone could explain the Crisis to me (or point out a good website), I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

crisis on infinite earths-- it was a maxi-series designed to restart continuity in the DC universe

Before there was a whole bunch of different universes...Earth-1, (Home of the silver age heroes. Otherwise known as the heroes from 1960 to the eighties.) Earth-2, (home of the JSA and other characters from the 1940s)Earth-3, Earth-S, Earth-X, Earth-Prime, etc. etc. etc. The crisis is what caused those universes to no longer exist...weather they were destroyed, or just merged with another universe, in the Crisis climax, the end, there was only one universe.
