...do you give him Kevin Conroy's voice? I sometimes do. Tim Daly with Superman too.
Mods - Before you move this, I thought of posting it on the comics board, but it seemed to fit here better.

We'll let it stay :)
Those are the voices I hear for comic characters as well. The animated series were just so well voiced that it's hard to hear any different voices for the comic characters. Tim Daly's Superman is the perfect voice. Daly gives it just the right tone for it, and makes it believable. Kevin Conroy...well...he's Conroy - nuf said!

I do, but since I read the animated comics the most, I don't know if that counts. :)

Yeah, I pretty much only read Animated Comics when I do (which is rarley) so I always give them the animated voices. Heck, that's what I do on the fanfic board! :)

It translate surprisingly well to the mainstream comic. But, same with most of you, I'm a mostly animated comic readers, so it's almost like default just to hear those voices.

I don't read the animated books all that much, but the character's voices on the show work equally well in the mainstream bat books. Try reading "The Killing Joke" with Hammill's Joker and Conroy's Batman. It's really creepy.

I agree with Zoddman, I think the animated voices translate well into the mainstream comics. I'm primarily a mainstream comic reader and I pretty much do this all the time when I read my comics It just gives my reading time a little extra "umph!"

Hmm, well I know that i most likely hear certain voices when reading the comics. Never actually stopped to think that they might be the animated ones. Most likely they are, like for batman I probably do assign him Conroy's voice. But for Barbara's I don't think I do assign her cartoon voice to her comic side. This is quite an interesting topic question! Lol, now next time I read a comic I'm going to wonder which voices I'm assigning, lol.

Hmm, I don't think I ever used the voices from the Animated Series when I read the comics. The only character maybe that I did was Two-Face. But, I'd give it a shot.

I guess that explains why there were so few responses when I started the "Do you hear voices?" thread on the Comics board on the 25th. Everyone's been talking about it over here!

I dont usually read the animated books and I still always hear the animated voice actors. They're just branded into my brain (not that that's a bad thing.) Maybe I dont hear superman's supporting cast all the time but I definately hear tim daly or some variation on him. And EVERYONE in the batbooks sounds the same to me except for Tim Drake who's kind of a different Tim Drake in the comics anyway. Sometimes I try to force myself to do different things like make Joker sound like Jack Nickleson, but it usually reverts to Mark Hammill pretty quickly. :)

Yeah, for me, Kevin Conroy is Batman and Mark Hamill is the Joker. Especially that laugh (shiver).
A funny side note- I went to see Jay and Silent Bob strike back, and in it Mark Hamill has a cameo. It was a funny scene but something about it freaked me out- I realized later that he did the scene in his joker voice, laugh and all. I thought it was funny, I got all creeped out in the movie theater and I didn't even know why...
