The WB which started in 1995 is planning on replacing Sitcom reruns with a late-night talk show and is looking at Steve Harvey to host.Their original choices were Bernie Mac,who is employed by FOX and Cedric The Entertainer who turned down the offer.Harvey who's sitcom is ending later this year said he would be happy to do it if Cedric was his sidekick. The WB asked Cedric if he wanted to be his sidekick and he said "Not right now" so The network went back to Harvey and asked who else he'd want as a sidekick and he said "Bring me Curtis Aikens".Akiens,A former NFL player and proud vegitarian said he would be happy to do it.Now The network is looking for a time to premiere it.They think it should be in the summer or next Fall. What to call it? Right now the network is calling it "The Untitled Harvey/Aikens Late-Night Talk Show on The Dubba Dubba Dubba Dubba WB" but we hope they don't.

Maybe they could throw a bunch of money at Conan O'Brien, since his contract is up at the end of this season and he could be shopping around for a new home if NBC doesn't pony up the dough.

He wouldn't choose The WB.He'd go with FOX or resign. The WB is 99% sure this will happen.

Makes me wonder when UPN is going to put in it's bid?

It brings to memory of days in the past when this kind of late night war went on before. Joan Rivers, Arsenio, Alan Thicke, and others....it seemed like there were two talk shows on each night for each network, if not more. Of course, they all died away and there were only Leno and Letterman, and that's what will happen again.

Thicke of the Night. It was a VERY popular show in Canada and they brought it to America thinking it would do just as well. It didn't. It almost killed his career. Growing Pains helped him get out of the doldrums of that failed talk show, tho.

We can't forget the Pat Sajak talk show.

I mean we're trying to forget it, but we can't. Oh please somebody do something to dull the pain.
