Just saw an ad for this. Like alot of collector magazines series, each issue will come with a DVD from the Manga library. Highlighted titles include Ghost in the Shell (which comes with the first issue), End of Evangelion (which is just listed as Evangelion and said as Eve-an-jelly-on at that) and Akira.
I might give it a look but if the advert is any indication, Manga aren't exactly shying away from their less than welcomed "Woo! Anime is hardcore violent Japanese porno toons, innit?" style.

Wait a minute. Doesn't Geneon own Akira? Or are the rights different over in the UK?

The publisher's site says issue one is £2.99, with each issue after that £8.99. 'Giving away' End of Eva is a Daily Mail tirade waiting to happen, especially given the coma scene...

Bought the first issue. The DVD as listed to have both audios, so that's a bonus. The cover is rather crappy though, firmly identifying it as being from the magazine. Said magazine is basically useless. It's full of easily known facts which read like someone's school report or a bad Wiki entry. It's also full of countless flyers trying to get you to subscribe. A trailer DVD is also included *sigh* I wish Manga had some titles that could show anime's depth, not the "TENTACLE PORN!" stuff so many throw around. They also consistently use the word manga (not their company name) to refer to animation.

The next issue comes with Blood The Last Vampire as well as a 'free' copy of Macross Plus.

I got it as well and yea, the mag is sorta crappy but there's always time to improve the quality and stuff. I'm getting it pretty much for the sake of seeing the films I have never seen. And I have a Cam Clarke signed Akira poster so I can add the DVD to that when I get it.
