I have basically stopped posting her for an array of reasons, none of which I recall ATM, but I recently made a rather delightful discovery that prompted me to return.

I recently read a novel entitled Von Neumann's War, by John Ringo and Travis S. Taylor, and to my immense suprise, partway through the novel, a character who'd been attempted to understand the nature of an alien incursion on Mars sits down to watch JLU!

After a mild fangasm, I read on to find a nice little synopsis of "Dark Heart". Watching the ep provides the inspiration to solve the Mars mystery, and there are occasional refrences to the episode later in the book.

Anyways, has anyone else an experience of a similar sort?

Really? That's awesome. And since JLU didn't even premiere on TV until 2005... I'm assuming that this is a recent book?

2004, actually. "Dark Heart" first aired in December '04, btw.
