From the choices given, I chose Fullmetal Alchemist. My personal choice for Best Series of 2006 is Metalocalypse.

Metalocalypse gets so many things right that I just had to vote for it. The opening for Bleach is growing on me and I'm sure the same will happen for the 2nd ED. I also liked Crayon Shin Chan's wacky ED (more than the show).

Best Pronounced Word: Winner is Rie Fu, the Japanese version of Natalie Merchant for her pronounciation of the letter "A" during the first end theme to Bleach.

Most Improved (on-going) Show: Winner is Tom Goes To The Mayor. I don't know if they took time off or improved on previous scripts, but their second season was refreshing.

Least Improved (on-going) Show: Winner is Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Robot Chicken was three votes behind.

Most Over-hyped Show: Winner goes to Crayon Shin Chan, joining past winners Welcome to Eltingville and The Venture Brothers.

WTF? Award: This goes to an event/show that cannot be explained. This year's winner is an Adult Swim card that showed high ratings for The Smoking Gun.

Bleach takes the award for Best New Anime of 2006.

And Time Magazine's Person of the Year 2006 gets a gold star for reading this.

Probably because most people just ignored Minoriteam's existence (and thus can't tell one episode from another) whereas ATHF is a more beloved series, so when an episode sucks it gets more attention.
