What a great cartoon to use for my 200th post!

It's been YEARS since I have seen Big Heel-Watha (Buck Of The Month) on TV...and how nice of CN to bring that cartoon back! And we STILL wonder why Hiawatha's Rabbit Hunt was one of the "Censored 11"!

One question: what actress was Minnie Hot-Cha supposed to portray in that film?

CN seems to show this cartoon quite a lot nowadays. I wish they'd show another rare Indian cartoon, like TOM TOM TOMCAT.

If I remember right, she sounds like Mae West but she doesn't look much like any Hollywood star. She does look a lot like Red though.

That sounds like an idea for a Toonheads episode.

How brilliant. But I can guarantee some chief rain-in-the-puss will complain about something to prevent this from ever happening. I can't forget the ending of that film..."oh my gwacious! It's waining puddy tats!"

A few weeks ago, I aqquired a rare Indian cartoon that hasn't been played on TV since the 1980s. It's Paramount's "Slip Us Some Redskin"! Try getting that one (though there's nothing really wrong with it....)!

"Big Heel Watha" is a funny cartoon. It's not the best Avery ever did, but still entertaining and couldn't be less offensive. I don't see anything wrong with "Injun Trouble" either... that cartoon has a reputation, but why? It's even tamer than "Wagon Heels". "Hiawatha's Rabbit hunt"...how they can censor such a classic is beyond me, but heck, "Speedy Gonzales" won an Academy Award and they won't show that, so...
