Edit: If anyone has any questions pertaining to TPB, feel free to ask them.

1. I have a copy of Showcase Presents: Shazam in hold at the comic store that I'm planning to get this week. I read that it has all issue from 1 to 35, except #25. Is that due to the appearance of Isis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_of_Isis)? I mean she is a DC Comic character isn't she?

2. According to Wikipedia a TPB titled "Simpsons/Futurama Infinitely Secret Crossover Crisis" is coming out soon, which reprints the 2 Simpsons/Futurama crossover as well as Simpsons #83. Is that confirmed? Also, is there a release date for it?

Merry Christmas.

I don't think Isis's appearance would be the reason. I'm pretty sure she's shown up in 52 which means that DC has the rights to the character. Of course, I may have the name wrong or it could be two different characters with the same name.

Figure I'd add to the question here, I'm still glad I got the trade, but why did they skip some of the issues between 1-33?

Here's the detail:
Shazam #21-24: Cover only
Shazam #25: They don't reprint the story or cover

Any idea why?

Issue 25 featured two stories, the first being a crossover with the Isis character from the 70s TV show. DC does not own the rights to that character. The Isis in 52 is a new character made to resemble the 70s Isis as much as possible without getting into legal trouble. So DC was unable to get the rights to the 70s TV character (which they were only borrowing back in the day) to reprint that story. So it and the cover unfortunately couldn't be reprinted. The back-up story from 25 is printed however.

Now, during the original run of the comic many of the issues also reprinted 1940s Shazam stories in the back. This collection does not reprint the classic stories from the 40s, just the modern ones. As such a few issues which only consisted of reprints aren't represented. (Those are 21-24)

I'm looking to get the Dan Slott She-Hulk TPBs in a month or so, anway:

I believe Volume 3 reprints the first 5 issues on the ongoing monthly. Now does trade include the reprints of Savage She-Hulk #1 and Sensational She-Hulk #1 in #3/100?

Thanks

There's also the reason that sometimes issues aren't included because they're part of another story, and usually collected in that trade. (i.e. Issues of Batgirl in a "Bruce Wayne: Murderer?" trade rather than the Batgirl trade since they were about the crossover story and can be skipped if you're just reading the Batgirl title)
