I believe they are Black Mass, Crowbar, Fastball. I can't recall the name of the one martial artist with the fire fists.

In other words, most of The Cadre, a supervillain team. Their comic versions were part of a plot to test humanity. Between Superman's choices, I'd say they were pretty much trying to conquer the world.

Just got the DC Comics Encyclopedia for Christmas. May as well do something with it.
