Well this wasn't as classic as last week. But it still had a few flashes of it but the problems from 2 weeks ago and beyond resurfaced.

Borash is actually better than Generic trick doing interviews. he has a weird chemistry with the interviewees, especially eric Young. The 2 should have their own reality show together. Must be those bugged-out eyes. http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gifhttp://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gifhttp://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif at Konnan being a Miami Dolphins fan. I found that very hysterical. The whole Lax segment was funny. Konnan with a great promo, and his rant against Santa Claus. Tenay voicing his disapproval http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif. So brother Runt apprently turned face (RUSSO). I guess Team 3-D is next to be fed to LAX.

PCS wasn't as funny as before but still was great. More great Backlund/steroids references and Senshi facial expressionshttp://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://67.18.37.14/html/emoticons/laugh.gif.

Sadly this week's Tenay interview was a disappointment becuase Chris Harris didn't "randomly" walk by. I guess he wasn't in the neighborhood. At least the dramatic music returned.

Classic RUSSO as Abyss turned twice during that segment with Sting. Nothing like Russo being Russo with the heel/face turns.

Main event was a little disappointing. Hopefully Kurtis does the job next month.

Overall, a step down from last week.

EDIT: I think that's next week's episode preview that you posted Sigma. I don't recall the MVP winner being announced.

So even with their new gimmick, Raven's Flock (or Saroin or whatever they are called) are still basically jobbers. I thought the point to this gimmick was that you were more focused and vindictive. Yet, Frankie Kazarian and the rest of them are still playing the not focused, bumbling jobber role. I wonder where there is going.

The whole Sting/Abyss morality tale is getting boring. Abyss's status as (I guess a tweener) is getting more and more confusing. I will agree that this is very like Vince Russo to write Abyss back and forth like this. Christian Cage's extortion over Abyss is an interesting concept though if it ever pays off. The fact that Abyss was in a prison is a pretty weak start.

Jeremy Borash and Eric Young is a great comedy duo. Otherwise, Eric Young is getting annoying and I hate that Mike Tenay calls him the "paranoid piped piper of TNA". That has to be one of the most annoying nicknames of all time.

Team 3D actually made the fast pacing work when they just walked on and told Eric to go away and started their promo. I didn't like the tables match between Team 3D and the Naturals. It feels like they are giving up on the Naturals by taking away their credit in this squash and having Shane Douglas dump them. Its just as well, the Naturals have been just as boring as "newly franchised" as they were before this gimmick.

The LAX/Santa Clause segment was so hilarious. Konnan talking about the Miami Dolphins and actually referring to Brother Runt as if he were Santa Clause. Konnan's tangents are some of the funniest things in wrestling.

Not as good of a PCS segment but still pretty funny. Another Bob Backlund reference.

Mike Tenay with a serious interview with James Storm. I guess this puts over his eventual match with Chris Harris, probably at Final Resolution. I don't know how far these guys will be able to go as singles though. I remember back in like 2003 or 2004, Chris Harris was a contender for the world title but this before a ton of guys were brought in. The main event is pretty crowded and the midcard is basically X Division. I don't see much room.

AJ Styles' promos as a heel always crack me up. He tries so hard. "I think what we have here is a SORE LOSER." Oh burn. Rhino's not much better.

Main event was alright. The ending was too abrupt but alot of the iMPACT endings are rather abrupt.

Also, judging by next week's preview, we have some Vince Russo booking in the main event. Nightstick on a pole match? Why have a stipulation for a triple threat, let alone that incredibly lame and nonsensical one? I mean, I know Christian Cage attacked Sting with a nightstick tonight, but...c'mon..

This episode wasn't as good as last year's Christmas episode(but nothing can top Christian Cage wanting to be like Jeff Jarrett for Christmas) but it was still pretty decent. The matches were alright(though the Naturals have made zero progress in what, six months?) I'm not too sure I like where they're going with this whole Abyss-Sting thing, but one thing I know for sure-Abyss without James Mitchell is not what I want to see.

At least Mike Tenay gave us another memorable line-"He just told Santa to go to Hell!!!"

I forgot to mention Don West returning last night. He did appear to sell better than Ric Flair's RAW return a few weeks ago.

A decent Impact this week. Not quite uo there with last week's, but I'll take it.

Yep, more Bob Backlund references (and Blackjack Mulligan to boot). Konnan being Konnan (which is a good thing). A pretty solid main event. Good show overall, even with Russo running things. :p

I might be the only one on this forum; but I want a Voodoo Kin Mafia T-shirt for Christmas. XD

Hey, that's next week's show!

It's not a good year for wrestlers to play Santa. Runt found that out the hard way.

Team 3D got their receipt from the Naturals, who now must flounder without Shane Douglas---or do they? Knowing Russo, nothing's ever sure.

Big ups to Douglas for the anti-smoking PSA. Maybe this is the start of a whole series.

VKM & the PCS are dying, contrary to what some of you think. A little less conversation and a little more action, please.

Serotonin. Meh. Raven's managing jobbers.

Ron Killings' Christmas rap was fine, but Lance Hoyt's attempt at dancing wasn't.

If Eric Young's looking for the other lamp, Tony Kornheiser's got it at ESPN (Pardon the Interruption).

All in all, a so-so show.

It seemed odd to me to have Serotonin make their debut and have Kazarian fed to Sting, but I guess it was so they could show Raven beat on one of his underlings.

Not a good night for the Naturals. Ray and Devon come back and beat the holy hell out of them and then the Franchise kicks them to the curb. It’s not too often you see the manager dump the talent. Usually they’re in a position to fight back.

It’s tough to identify the most painful part of TNA’s holiday wishes. Sure K-Kwik was rapping, but then we have Lance Hoyt dancing and Petey Williams handing out presents. *shudders*

So Tenay says that Runt is Santa and then in Konnan’s terrible, boring promo he talks to Runt like he actually is Santa? All kind of stuff was rough to watch this week.

VKM’s little segment was basically a teaser for whatever pain they are ironically going to put us through next week. I’ll officially reserve judgment until then.

I missed the footage Tomko had loaded into the truck, I’ll have to check that out on Saturday, but the rest of the Abyss-Sting-Cage segment was a bit ‘meh’ to me. I really hate the humanizing of Abyss that is currently underway, it is just not needed. I feel like the character is being ruined every time Sting extends his hand in friendship.

The main event tag match I also didn’t see quite enough to absorb so I really have no thoughts at this time. Overall I would say I like who ‘Angle-Joe III?’ is being handled though. Joe seems to like holding this over Kurt’s head.

I should probably watch it on Saturday with a can of caffeine in my hand. :o

I forgot to mention Don West returning last night. He did appear to sell better than Ric Flair's RAW return a few weeks ago.By doing what, saying it hurt? He sits behind a desk.

I meant that he talked about being in the ankle lock, and in the spoilers, he brought crutches with him. That's what I meant. They should've shown the crutches with him.

Sadly, the only part I saw of this iMPACT! was the Christmas celebration, and it was painful to watch. And LAX didn't make it any better. I think I liked it a lot more last year when Christian wanted to be Jeff Jarrett for Christmas, but this was just a bunch of crap. Normally, I would be fine with it, but that wasted around 15 minutes of an hour-long show.

And I'm really sick of Eric Young. Russo's made this guy into nothing more than a joke.

Well I watched the second half again last night and I didn’t really miss anything. I guess Abyss was in prison for doing something (in an accident with his best friend and unknowing love?) and I felt like I didn’t get anything out of the main event because there was barely anything to get. Before the commercial they brawled outside the ring and then they only had five minutes or so. Not much of a match.

VKM, I understand, but I must ask why you think the PCS is dying? All the segments have been absolute Gold up to this point.

This past week's PCS thing was the weakest one yet, and this show once again featured far too little wrestling and too many bad non-wrestling bits. After last week's really good show, this one just doesn't hold up.

I guess this is the right place for this news considering this has something to do with last week's show. From tnawrestlingnews.com:

The match that aired this week on "Impact" pitting Karazian vs. Sting was originally scheduled to be Bentley vs. Sting, but apparently someone wrote down the wrong name backstage on the script.

This reminds me of the millions of dumb things WCW did before their death. They had on messageboards all the Wrestling Observer tidbits that pertained to dumb things WCW did. That's one of the funniest things I ever did.

Hopefully TNA doesn't go that route, as they've done few dumb things behind the scenes. Actually WWE has done more head-shaking moves this year, at least 1 a week.
