Please Help!!!!

One day I was watching cartoons on youtube and then suddenly, during a tom and jerry online cartoon, something popped up and screamed!!! I've been terrified of the computor since. Slowly, I got over this problem though but the thing is, I'm terrified of watching any online videos. How do I know that I trust an online video again? (This happend last year, BTW)

Simple. On youtube, if you're afraid of being freaked out, read the comments. They'll say something about it. Or, you could turn the sound off and skim through a video to make sure nothing weird happens.

The same thing happened to me with a different video. ;) But I just moved on.

Ha ha! Don't worry, that's happened to a lot of people, myself included. It's a popular kind of prank that can be done with all kinds of things. Why, one time my friend was on a computer kiosk at college watching a speed run of Super Mario Bros. 3. Halfway through the first level, a demonic face popped up with loud screaming. The poor guy nearly soiled himself. Needless to say, everyone was staring at him afterwards.

The advice given thus far is good.

Just for fun, search for "maze prank" on YouTube. You'll get dozens of videos of people falling for similar pranks. Pretty funny stuff, actually. :lol:

Oh...those videos. It's probably just one of those "prank" videos. This really hasn't happened to me yet, but then again, most of the time I only go to YouTube to watch AMVs and listen to music. >_> But, judging by the other people's posts, you're pretty much not alone.

i know this is an old thread, but it happend again...:( . Maybe I should just go buy lots of cartoons DVD's so I don't need to watch internet cartoons. But anyway, is there any kind of sites I should be avoiding? I can't believe this happend twice!! (As you people can tell by now, I get frightened very easily.)

I only ever ran into one on a maze game someone posted in a forum. I didn't know they'd moved to YouTube. I'd hate to run into one while using my earphones.

I know im late posting here, but its ironic how i find this thread only a few minutes after falling into one of those pranks myself.
I can compleatly relate to your fear now. Those videos, expeically for some one who hates being scared (:o ), can be just terrifying. Sadly ,my idiot friend thought it was hilarious to watch me scream like a two year old as some demonic decrepid face appeared on my computer screen.:sad:
