This is a pretty good marathon I have to say. And jammed packed with Toonami promos and commericals.

I've gotten to watch a few episodes, but I've been stuck babysitting my baby cousin all week, so you know. :(

Yeah, I've been watching part of it. Jim Harvey revealed who the winner was on the news page...I knew I shouldn't have read it! Anyway, you've got to tune into the last two episodes of the marathon!

Yes, I got my cable back just in time!
I've been watching and recording some of the ones that I've missed (though it's only been about two). I was kinda disappointed that Superman won, but it was to be expected I suppose. I like both shows, to be honest, and picking one between the other would have been a tough choice for me.
The character promos for Tenchi are good, too. Though a little on the short side.

I am also disapppointed that Superman won. Batman rules. I think Smallville's success had something to do with the viewer turnout.

There were Toonami ads, like, everywhere!
In the entire marathon, there must have been only about 25 non-Toonami ads! And there were often cases where there were three Outlaw Star ads back to back to back! And a lot of DBZ ads and Tenchi character profiles and ads. Maybe this was Toonami's big break from its slumber, perhaps it is being revitalized. At any rate, there will be new shows in the spring, such as DB and DBZ, and this should revitalize Toonami somewhat.

as I've said before, I'm fairly certain that it was kids wanting to play the game as Superman who has superpowers (even if the game did say he had lost them) rather than "wimpy" Batman.

Aww...Don't worry, I'm sure Cartoon Network will reshow the episodes that were played. They kind of just played random episodes, except for the last two.
BTW, I too was surprised that Superman won. It's not that I think Superman can't beat Batman, but I thought Batman was more popular...

It's official. Superman is the winner of Toonami's "Batman Vs. Superman" contest. Here are the results.
Batman - 46%
Superman - 54%
What are your thoughts?

I think it's a well documented fact that Batman could beat Superman, but yeah... I was quite surprised myself.
I didn't think Superman was popular.
I'm glad he won tho, that way I got to see Legacy!

I doubt that it's rigged, I'm just surprised Superman won. I always thought Batman was more popular...

I dunno if this one is rigged, but that last one I think it was most probaly rigged (the one where outlaw star won).

I voted for "Batman" in the poll you're talking about, but I guess "Outlaw Star" is just more popular with Toonami fans.

54 to 46 is Flawless? I thought 100 to 0 was flawless...
One more thing...the eps aired YESTERDAY..so it's not like this is breaking news..
One more thing..kids played as Superman, cause he's got superpowers....that's why he won
One more thing...Do I remind you of Uncle?

yeah, my post here convinced me to change my avatar....
one more thing...(boy this is fun) CNs polls should be taken with a grain of salt...not everyone visits them...and generally they a disproportionate to reality.
Last time I checked, on a toonami poll, Reboot was beating Sailor Moon, which in turn was beating DBZ....
trust me, despite what people here would like to believe, DBZ is a hell of alot more popular than either SM or Reboot...
Now go get some more talismans....I must do research...

Does anyone have the ratings for the whole week of Batman vs. Superman episodes, including the marathon on Saturday?? (Would the moderators know?) Are they higher , lower, or about the same as usual?
I heard someone talking about Toonami's downfall. DO you think Toonami's programming (or ratings for that matter) will improve since the Superman vs. Batman contest ended?? With all the commercials they showed to promote Outlaw Star and Tenchi, I say yes (and bringing The Big O back probably wouldn't hurt either).

Yep, I think so. Toonami did the right thing by showing all the promos for their current fan favorites (Tenchi, Outlaw Star, DBZ).
Useless Kiyone Rant:
It was great to see all the character promos for Tenchi. They had all the characters... EXCEPT KIYONE!!! I hate Williams Street for that. But there is a reason for this though. These promos came out before Tenchi debuted to hype the show up. But since Tenchi Muyo was the first of the Tenchi series to play and this sadly didn't feature Kiyone (except in the Mihoshi Special which didn't play yet), Williams Street didn't make a promo for her. What was the point if we wouldn't be seeing Kiyone for 17 EPISODES (13 Muyo episodes + the first 4 Tenchi Universe that didn't have her) This has been a useless rant brought by Dark Spider.
Off Topic:
There was apparently a new Cartoon Cartoon commercial featuring the widely hated Scrappy-Doo. During the commercial Scrappy was complainig about the Cartoon Cartoons. I missed this one, did anyone catch it?

I thought Batman would win for sure. I'm rather disappointed. Since Superman won the contest, what is his prize anyway?

Well, someone won. That's cool, I guess. I realy didn;t pay much attention as I didn't get back from work usually untill about 6, and I wasn't in the mood to watch toonami much at the time. :o

The ratings won't be in until later this week, possibly by later today or tomorrow. I'm interested in the ratings as well, since close to 1,500,000 people voted.

2 extra hours of Superman last Saturday, as oppossed to 2 extra hours of Batman. I got to see Legacy. I don't think that the world ended..so if we could drop it...would probably be a good thing.

You played the game to vote, there are 5 games, so assuming everyone who voted played every game, everyone who voted played 5 times. I guess it's more like 300,000 people voted.

[indent]It's highly doubtful though that everybody, or even the majority played multiple games.

I always thought there was more Batman fans around, maybe just around this board. :P I voted for Superman because I figured everyone would vote for Batman. I'm glad they put in a mix of Batman and Superman before the 2 hour block of just STAS.
