During a press junket for his upcoming 'Collateral Damage' movie, Arnold revealed some interesting info about T3: Rise of the Machines:

Schwarzenegger mentioned that Linda Hamilton will be appearing in the third installment but "as flash backs...Let's just assume that she died already and he (John Connor) is on his own rather than his mother whining way (Laughing) They felt like you know John Connor is 22-23 years old his mother died and his is alone and lets move on."

He went on to say that they haven't made any decisions on who will play John Conner and that they will "start looking at pictures real soon."

Besides there already being a female Terminator, he said that his Terminator will be glitched. It will switch sides throughout the film, sometimes controlled by the machines and sometimes controlled by the humans.

Sounds interesting...

It's going to be awesome, but not nearly as good as the first two, I fear. They would need James Cameron to write and direct.

I'm not a massive Cameron fan. I liked Aliens and Terminator - I could be happy see a new approach... is it true that Arnie is eyeing up a fee of around $30 million? No wonder he is happy to chant 'i'll be back'! Quite right! To be up a substantial paycheck!

30million...

He' signed on for 30 million and a portion of the movie profits. With the budget costing upwards of $160 million (initially), this movie will have to be big in order to make a profit.

He better do a damn good job for that sort of money - none of this 'I'll be back' rubbish for this price. I expect top quality acting - I want to see the Terminator cry at the very least....

What is he going to do with over $30 million dollars?

Jeez.... :D

Arnold had previously vowed never to make another Terminator sequel unless Cameron was involved. Then he signed on to this one anyway. But I'm not surprised, because as Schwarzenegger told Disney when they wanted him to take a relatively small paycheck to be in The Emperor's New Groove, he's a businessman first and an actor second.
